I bought one of these for my mother who lives out in the sticks where FM signal is poor. I knew that DAB signal was good as I have a set in my car which works well. She wasn't disappointed! She uses it mainly for Radio 4 and the sound fills a quite substantial kitchen, the controls are very easy to use - the simplicity for her was the killer app!

So a couple of months later, the backlight failed on my kitchen DAB, (not a Pure) so the ideal replacement.

As I travel a lot around the UK I brought this radio to take with me on my travels. I was also hoping it would work well in the car, plugged into the aux socket of the stereo as I like to listen to radio 5 live. So far I have found the radio excellent, audio quality from the built in speaker is good for the size but plug the radio into active speakers or headphones and it's excellent. For people wanting a DAB radio for the car buy this! It works really well in the car I am now able to listen to radio 5 live on Dab instead of AM radio!

All in all an excellent product but shop around I brought mine via Amazon for £45 which considering the quality of build and built in rechargeable battery is a bargain.

Not a bad clock radio, huge drawback is you cannot see the display during the daytime, both Sony models suffer from this, sending mine back today!!!

Roberts ROBI DAB/FM Radio with remote for iPod

After the huge disappointment of trying, and failing, to get any decent reception using the Apple radio/remote, I was pleased when I found out Roberts had brought out a DAB alternative.

The device plugs into the ipod and the supplied headphones then plug into the remote. When you plug in the remote the ipod immediately detects it and displays the Robi logo on its LCD. You can then set the remote to scan all the DAB radio stations it can find and store them in your favourites list, allowing you to flick between your favourite channels at a flick of a button on the remote. The remote itself also has an LCD screen that displays what radio station you are listening to.

Sony ICFC218S Clock Radio

As an alarm clock it's basic. Buying something this cheap seems to mean that the radio is fiddly to tune and sound quality is 1970s telephone. Yes, it's cheap, but Sony's much vaunted build quality is definitely slipping. The first one we got had a very definite mains hum from the power supply. The second one was better but still audible and annoying. The third one was ok - but I was annoyed at having to exchange two before getting one that was satisfactory.

The display isn't the brightest and the controls are scattered all round the place with little logic. Some of the switches are rather hit and miss.

It's cheap but you take pot luck with the build quality.

I got it and used it for almost 2 weeks now and it works fine, it doesn't lose connection as I heard other splitters do. Has a 10A fuse so it should be good for any gadget. The main wire may be a bit thin for 10A - I only used it for ~4 Amps - but I assume they are all like that.

I BOUGHT ISYMPHONY MK2, IT WORKED FOR A SMALL WHILE AND THEN GAVE UP COMPLETELY, TRIED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THE MANUFACTURE BUT NOTHING, IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND NOBODY WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. SO IN MY OPINION IT IS A RIP OFF AND I ADVISE ANYBODY TO NOT BUY THERE PRODUCTS AS THERE IS NO AFTERCARE. FROM A VERY ANGRY AND FRUSTRATED PURCHASER.

I have found pure gold in the hunt for a decent DAB radio in this product. Its stylish, easy to use and the sound quality is wonderfull. It is mains or battery operated , has a sleep timer and is a good weight and size. I am well impressed. The delivery by Amazon was quick and efficient too.

This DVD/VCR combi recorder has got to be the easiest machine ever to use to convert those precious videos to DVD. Very simplistic instructions, easy to set up and one touch button recording. I have converted all my videos to DVD using the slow play option from the drop down menu, just over 6 hours of recording on each DVD+RW disc. It allows recording to DVD+-RW, DVD+-R, DVD+R DL and VHS. It has the facility to edit each recording that you make i.e. name the film title or name of occasion recorded (birthday etc) . It also comes with video plus and has all the support for recording from digital video camcorders. It is compatible with CD, CD-R/-RW, MP3-CD, MP3-DVD, WMA. Roberts WM201 Wifi Radio

I looked around for ages and read a lot of reviews on different internet radios.
I finally made my choice....The Roberts WM201 WiFi Radio.
When it arrived and i unpacked it , it was easy enough to set up....Just Read The Instructions.
When connected up and ready to go, switch on and and you are treated to a fantastic...beautiful.....room filling sound...... I have owned a lot of radios in my 63 years but this is the best sounding radio i have ever owned.
In my opinion if you want the best sound.....this is it.
I know there are a lot of cheeper internet radios on the market but if you want quality sound the Roberts will be hard to beat
