I've had one of these for a few years and I love it. But I measured its power consumption recently and was a bit shocked (if you'll excuse the pun): It draws 6.5W, whether the radio is on or not. Since we use it as a bedside alarm clock radio it's 'on' all day everyday, so that must really add up.

Being technically minded, I laughed when I read the other reviews listing the problems for this item. I have built and installed aerials for radio, TV and Sat systems and used many in-car FM transmitters in the past....what can anyone teach me about this technology? ... or so I thought.
I bought the new iPhone and wanted to listen to its contents in the car. Simple. I bought this FM transmitter, but as soon as I plugged it in, the iPhone suggested switching to "Airplane Mode" as it was identified as a non-compatible accessory. Airplane mode on or off, the appalling quality of sound could not be improved. I've had one of these for a little while. Initially I liked it, but then a software upgrade by logitech caused a few problems. This is okay thou, because they're constantly adding new features and fixing bugs. I would recommend this product to anyone, it works well and is the definative, without being the most expensive, way to share music around your house.

I purchased the Bug about two years ago. My inital reason for buying it was because I wanted to record radio programmes whilst I was working. The then-recent v1.3beta EPG (Electronic Programme Guide)upgrade was also a major selling point. I would recommend getting the Bug, in part because it can be upgraded to become a 'Bug Too' (but with a far superior colour to its younger sibling), and because it is pretty much all you could ever hope for in a small radio. It looks cute too. My only concern was that its USB upgrade facility wasn't compatible with my computer (until a recent upgrade), and so had to upgrade via friends' computers.
