Not being a real music or radio expert, I find this an excellent radio which to my "uneducated" ear sounds great.

The comprehensive instruction booklet takes some study as the radio has 3 different modes and a host of functions but on balance its generally easy to understand.

I bought the silver one as it was the only one available when I made my purchase but looking at the black one now available I think I would have preferred it.

If Roberts Radio is good enough for The Queen then its good enough for me !!

I got it and used it for almost 2 weeks now and it works fine, it doesn't lose connection as I heard other splitters do. Has a 10A fuse so it should be good for any gadget. The main wire may be a bit thin for 10A - I only used it for ~4 Amps - but I assume they are all like that.

I have owned my original Roberts radio for years - its sound quality is excellent, and it is constructed of Wood, metal, leather and (knobs and perspex screen) of plastic. It looks and feels like quality. You could probably drop it out of a 4th floor window and it would be as good as new apart from a few scratches (although I can't guarantee this - just suppostion).
So - when I decided to upgrade to DAB - Roberts was my choice and I ordered one through an Amazon trader (never have seen it "in the flesh" just a picture).
I just cannot understand the other reviewers who write about this radio's "solid quality build" - well, maybe it is - compared with most of the other stuff currently on the market, but compared with what Roberts used ... Read More:

Oregon Scientific RM822/RM823 Electronics

Having previously had a misfiring dire Precision (!) Global Radio Controlled Graphite case Travel alarm clock, I came to this Oregon Scientific product a little bit warily. I can report that this item works very well, it has a far better quality feel and a nice clear display. There is not a lot more I can say - the manufacturer has a small brief of what this clock should be capable of doing and has produced a product that meets all the requirements with ease. First class product.

Before buying this alarm clock radio, I did a detailed research on the Internet. I intended to buy a Sony alarm clock radio, but I changed my mind after I saw this on Philips website. It's much better than Sony's models.

First of all, it has a stylish design. It displays weather forecast and indoor temperature which makes it superior to other alarm clock radios on the market. There are very few alarm clock radios with a digital tuner, and Philips AJ210 is one of them.

No need to look for an alarm clock radio anymore. Buy this one, you won't regret!
