Now you may look at this walkman and think that it costs far too much for what it is. Personaly I disagree. This must be one of the best cassette walkmen, definately the very best that I have ever tried.
But why not just buy a normal cassette walkman? This really depends on what you want your walkman for. Important features for me are The auto-reverse, built in radio, stereo microphone and obviously the tape playing component. Auto-reverse prevents you from having to take the tape out and turn it over, The radio is of a very high quality and it uses the earphones as its ariel (any earphomes will do), The stereo microphone adds a stereo effect to an recording you wish to do. A alright piece of work by sony. Saying that it does have the bass reflex body for improved sound quality and for more noise and is very compact in with the FM/MW/LW radio and the cdr/rw player with would make it enougth but wheres the tape player on it. it is still worth the price you pay for it thougth but compared to the philips AZ1060 Cd radio cassette it is not that good at all.

it is perfect for out door use.small and easy to carry.its canny powerfull and it has a tone nob next to the volume nob,the tone nob is basically how loud you want your trieble.but you can turn the tone down and raise the volume which makes the bass much more bassyer and deep.i love this as it is exactly want i wanted.respect to sony for making such an ideal stereo for trips out the beech and also for making it powerfull....respect

For Christmas my mum brought me this CD player and it has given me a great amount of pleasure.
To start with, the sound quality is very good - every word spoken can be clearly heard. The music reproduction is brilliant and the Mega Bass and Mega Xpand make quite a big difference. There are times when the clarity of the sound isn't so great, but that is only when you are listening to the music full blast!
With many radio presets (more than the number of radio stations I know!) it is easy to flick between stations.
Also the MiniDisk link is very helpful. It comes with 1 wire to allow you to record onto a Minidisk but another is needed to allow you to listen to your Minidisks through the CD player.

I have purchased this product recently and i was amazed with the quality of sound output and display quality. Before i purchased this product i had a pioneer centrate which i paid slight more for but after seeing the quality on this product i would prefer this. Other aspects which were particular useful were attaching my dvd player very simply to the stereo via the cassette to recieve digital surround sound out of the front and rear speakers.

Firstly, superb gadget, not only does it sound great but the way the cd tray comes out of the dash board is pretty cool. Yes it sounds good, I put it in my car and didnt change the speakers and it sounds great, using the mp3 discs are great you can get about 10 albums on one disc with album names and track names. Another cool thing is that the display colour can be changed so it matches with your car dashboard lights.
