I wanted a portable DVD player for my child for a 10 car journey. I am no 'techie'and therefore reviewed peoples comments on here before deciding to purchase this. I was not disappointed.

It looks good, the picture is perfectly good for viewing in the car, its easy to fix in the car,in fact my only negative comment would be that without using headphones (3 year old refused to wear them), the sound could be better, although my child was perfectly happy.

The battery life was approx 2.5 - 3hours

I took the avdvice of a previous reviewer and ordered a seperate carry case, and while i agree it is needed, do not buy the Phillips SVC4000 as recommended by Amazon as the DVD Player barely fits, despite allegedly ... Read More:

We were looking for a dvd player to use for car journeys and a camping trip. I had alook at a Matsui and Phillips ones in Dixons and both were good, however the Matsui one had a blurred picture and the Phillips one had tinny sound quality. The Daewoo had the picture quality of the phillips and the sound of the daewoo one. It comes with a holder and is perfect for car journeys and the like. The only problem we had was the lead to connect to the Tv was not the right one and neither Daewoo or Amazon could get us the correct one-I do think it was a packing error and therefore we kept the player regardless of it. I was quite happy with my old Panasonic DVD player until it decided to give up the fight. So I thought the Hyundai HPD719 DVD Player would be the answer to my problems. I was wrong, the screen quality was appalling and to top it of I was supplied with the wrong TV connections.
The quality is cheep and nasty, don't by it if you're used to something better.

I havn't got a clue to the multi-region instruction and could not make it multi-region whatsoevers. The car charger turned out useless and battery would last just over an hour much less than what it says. The built-in speaker sound is so low and tinny. Built quality is cheap from the first sight. Better spend bit more for a decent player.

This LG portable dvd player is worth the money. For people on a slightly smaller budget, it offers great sound, great picture and lots of fun! The screen, although 7", is bigger than expected and has very good picture quality. The sound is great and the player also has 2 headphone jacks. It also offers divx compatibility. My only complaint is that there isn't a volume button on the remote, only on the player. But apart from that, it's a good buy. In short - Life's good
