Excellent bit of kit, I wouldn't be without it. Really good range on the wifi side, I've connected no probs at about 50 metres. Battery life not brilliant but OK. Only big dissapointment is the lack of stereo bluetooth, come to think of it there is no Bluetooth at all which is a major ommission, hence 4 stars.

The apple iPod touch 2nd gen model is pretty much perfect, 32gb is plenty of storage for most people, the screen is stunning and very high resolution so video playback is stunning. Audio has improved over the 1st gen model which is very welcome. Although I wish Apple would ship better quality headphones with their top of the range product. The headphones are lifeless and don't do the machine any justice, owning a good set like the CX55 range will improve your listening pleasure a great deal. The external volume controls are very welcome as is the built in speaker (its tinny but useable for gaming)
The touch screen is up to Apple's high standard and is very responsive, it becomes second nature once you have used it for a short time. ... Read More:

I'd like to keep this review brief and down to a few key points, as there are a lot of long reviews on this page already.
1) The interface really is as good as it looks.
It is extremely smooth, exceptionally intuitive and virtually perfect. Not only does it look amazing, but its very efficient. The only one tiny flaw I find is that if the name of a song is above a certain length, it is truncated with no way of viewing the full song name. I don't ever find this to be a major problem, though.
2) The screen is not as prone to scratches as you might think.
I have had my iPod Touch for a few months now, and while being a careful owner I wouldn't say I've gone out of my way to protect the screen. ... Read More:

The Zen 32 GB MP3 Player is and excellent piece of equipment BUT as with many other such items the manufacturer's claims of battery/playing time is outragiously wrong. After the instructed first charge of four hours, and a number of test runs the maximum music playing time is six to eight hours - NOT 25 as indicated in the sales speel. I am 74 years old and to me this is a gross misrepresentation, because it was largely on the length of playing time that I made the decision to purchase this MP3 player.
Otherwise the item is everything that it as meant to be and being able to drag and drop from windows explorer makes for a very simple method of transfering files. (Rather than that dreadful Itunes sync system). The Zen player is light, compact - small enough to put ... Read More:

This iPod looked dodgy ever since it came out. It looks more or less a miniature version of the ipod classic. It's just £50 than a classic. This only store 8 GB while classic store 80 GB and it has no extra features whatsoever. Finally the 4th generation is out and that can do things the classic can't so don't buy this.

At 57 years old I thought it was time I replaced my battered but functional Sony FM walkman with something a bit more up to date. So I researched everything to do with portable music players and ended up through a process of elimination for functionality, cost and looks with the X-Fi 8GB. First off I'm a big person with big fingers so I thought the tiny buttons might be a problem but they work fine with the edge of the nail and fall intuitively where you think they should be. The centre set of 9 buttons is a bit like a mobile phone arrangement logically with the centre buttton being the "do it" button. The on/off hold is easy to use on the back and the sleep timer (15min upwards) is perfect for falling asleep to Classic FM. The FM radio is a joy! Having heard hissy FM radios over the decades this ... Read More:
