I am amazed anyone can consider these to sound good. They are cheap and nasty earphones which not only sound poor, but actually made my music sound unpleasant to the point of being unlistenable. Anyone who thinks otherwise either has never heard what good earphones sound like, or wouldn't know good quality audio if they heard it. Good earphones can make an incredible difference to listening enjoyment, and for the sake of a few more ££s these simply aren't worth bothering with.
I only bought them for use with a two-way radio - an undemanding job which they can at least manage, so all is not lost (although I have since seen earphones in a local store of very similar design costing just £1.99). The only good thing is the rubber ... Read More:

Having read the reviews I was a little apprehensive about these headphones, especialy the 'hissing', but because I had a Sony TV and rated Sony I gave them a try. I found them good, the 'hissing' was reduce to acceptable levels by reducing the volume on the headphones and using the tv volume control.

After a couple of hours on the net looking at ear phones (it's difficult when you can't try them out),
I purchased the ER6I's. This was based on all the good reviews they were getting and I can completely go with that. Sound quality is fantastic - the bass can lack a little some times but that problem is easily overcome by adjusting the EQ setting on my pod. Cable noise can transmit into the ears as I use them in the gym quite a bit. Easily solved as the cable has a securing clip to stop it moving about. Quite a strange sensation when using as the sound seems to emit from within your head creating a very clever stereo effect. Buy some, you will not be disappointed - they are a quality product.

I've bought these as an upgrade for my Sennheiser CX300's and Sony MDR-EX71SL's, both of which are fine, but these Super Fi 5 Pros are undoubtedly the best earphones I've ever used. I was also considering the Shure SE310's but opted for the UE's on the strength of other user reviews here. In agreement with the majority of these reviews, the depth and clarity of sound is amazing - it really is like listening to your music for the first time!
Few niggles, though. The law of diminishing returns applies - while they do sound fantastic, they are very expensive (however, having bought them & paid off the credit card, I am glad I did). Also, the body of the phones are plastic - not necessarily a bad thing in terms of weight, I suppose, but for ... Read More:

I've only had these headphones for three weeks and have been impressed. However, the left speaker has developed a terrible rattle that completely and utterly ruins any music experience. This rattle not only occurs with music that has heavy bass, but even in instrumental or orchestral pieces. I was very pleased with these but am seriously unhappy now that they are faulty. I'm traveling in a foreign country for 4 months and can't create a warranty claim, either.

I am not a bass fanatic, but the bass from these was weedy, even for me. The noise cancelling feature does absolutely nothing, as far as I can hear, apart from adding some background hiss. I suspect that the efficiency of these earphones probably depends mostly on how well they fit in your ear. I just about get the smallest size in and I wouldn't say they were comfortable. I've had a better listening experienced from headphones costing much less, and I haven't got any (apart from these), that cost more than ten quid.

I bought the Sennheiser HD435 after my PMX-100's broke. I loved the PMX-100 and was very tempted to buy another pair for only £20, but decided, since i only really use my headphones in the car, about 1 hour a day, i might as well buy a more robust pair, sacrificing the ability to store them in my pocket.
I was glad i did, the HD435s are an amazing pair of headphones, the bass is easily as good as my dad's HD595 (£80-100) headphones. The general sound outperforms the PMX-100s by quite a bit and when you have these headphones on, you can hardly hear anything else.
Pros:
Robust
Incredible bass
Great overall sound
Good looks
Comes with an inline volume control and protective bag
High quality plug, with 1/4" adapter ... Read More:
