iRiver Clix 2 8GB MP3 Player

I have had this MP3 for 10 months and felt now is a good time to send a review.

It is very easy to use (even for IT novices such as me). Good clear screen. Excellent sound quality (although I replaced the headphones). Good to have an FM radio and recording facilities also. Very easy to upload podcasts/downloads.

One fault, if you can call it that, unfortunately I dropped it (with the leather case on) and the case popped open and it required repair. The only place to get it repaired to maintain the warranty was Germany, which took 5 weeks.

Iriver B20 4GB DAB Radio MP3 Player - Black

I spent a full day comparing all the various personal DABS and mp3 players on the market. I wanted a DAB radio for the quality, but was torn between this and an FM radio to ensure that I could get a reception anywhere I went.
It was becoming a fruitless search to find the player which ticked all the boxes for me until I found the Iriver B20. I had DAB and FM saving me from making the choice, and with 4gb memory space and a memory card slot if you need more space. It seemed too good to be true.
Not wanting to rush in I spent a few hours googling Iriver B20 and I didn't see any bad reviews or at least anything to put me off ordering it so I did.
It arrived the day after I ordered it can honestly say I am not disappointed.

iriver E100 8GB Video MP3 Player - BlackGreat player & it looks good. Lightweight, providing music, video, photographs, FM radio, file area - what else could you ask for? Oh yes, expansion slot - it's got one - add up to another 8GB via micro SD card. Good sized, clear screen in comparison to overall size. Can be used with/without headphones as there's two inbuilt speakers. Easy to set up & use. Transfer/play using either Windows Media Player or iriver 3 software (included with player). Downside? Instruction manual (included on CD) messy & difficult to pinpoint what you're looking for. When printed, it's very small & the white on pale grey of some pages very difficult to read. Iriver U15 L-Player 8GB MP3/MP4 Player - Black

I wanted a not-too-expensive MP3 player that played a range of file formats, had decent sound quality and looked cool. The L Player certainly meets those expectations. It's very cleverly designed so that the screen operates as a four-way rocker switch that allows you to navigate the various menus. The only other switches on the unit are tiny power and volume bumps on the lower edge (don't buy this if you have really fat fingers!) and a slide switch for "hold" on the back. The appearance is really minimalist and the construction makes the screen pretty much the same size as the housing. The screen is amazing. The resolution and refresh rate are superb. I searched on this issue and discovered that it is important to ensure that the "power off" not the "sleep" option is selected in the advanced settings. I had been using the sleep option at night. Apparently this results in the player not really shutting down so it goes on consuming power on a continuous basis. The answer seems to be to change the setting when you wake up next day!
