What can I say...I'm impressed! Do you the feeling of going for your batteries, just to remember that you forgot to charge them and now you have no time?! Well...that will not happen with this ones! :-) As they say, these batteries can hold the charge for more than 5 months after charged. It's like buying batteries...but you can re-charge them over and over again!
You can't go wrong with these ones!

I have 20 of these batteries now and they are great.

They are outstanding in power hungry devices like digital cameras and game controllers, i can play my xbox for ages without worrying about the batteries going dead, i have left them in my second controller without use for months and they are still charged.

The charger is the worst i have ever used, it takes about 12 hours to charge 4 batteries. A Uni-ross sprint charger will fully charge these batteries in 2 hours

I think these batteries are 5 star (much better than others I've tried) - however, when they arrive the first challenge you will have is how to get them out of the packet. I am not normally daunted by such things, but this package nearly beat me. Not only is it a really tough plastic outer casing (that snapped my scissors in half), you've then got to get throught the inner packaging as well. I have no idea why it's SO necessary for this - hopefully someone will read this and take note - this level of plastic security is unnecessary!

After reading the previous reviews I went ahead and purchased my camera, which arrived this morning.
I, stupidly in hind sight, read the Which report on this camcorder AFTER making the purchase and they only gave it
37%, so I was a bit worried. My anxiety was short lived however.
After having the camera, and using it for only a few hours, out and about today, I am incredibly pleased with my purchase.
It's size makes it ideal for popping into your pocket, and it can be powered up and recording in seconds.
I bought this camera as I have a baby due in 2 weeks so the fast start up is ideal to catch those memorable moments.

Sanyo Xacti HD1000 Full High Definition SD Digital Movie Camera - Black

I have shot quite a bit of footage with this camera in both full HD 1920 x 1080 interlaced and 720P 60fps. The latter I have found to be the most versatile, great for capturing fast moving action. It also takes amazing close up video in macro mode. The other great feature on this tiny HD cam is the 8 mega pixel still it takes - very nice jpgs. Other techy stuff...Mic input, cold shoe for a mic and little flash for photos.
If you want to edit the footage you'll need a pretty powerful computer as the H264 compression is processor intensive. Also, if you are using SDHC cards, you'll be best off buying an SDHC compatible card reader - then you can just pop out your card and download the contents whilst you continue your movie making. I love this camera. As a kayaker it means i can now get some snaps of the rivers we run with out the hassle of delving into a dry box each time. Photo quality is excellent, the video is great and the mic picks up everything that's going on. I don't think there is a better solution if you're out and about, fairly active and if water is something you're in and out of a lot.

BUT!

I also had the problem with the screen. I sent it back to Sanyo's repair people who sorted it out and sent it back good as new. I have then unfortunately had another problem with the photo button. It is currently being repaired. I'm hoping its just teething problems as it was a fairly new unit to the shelves when i first got it, more recent models will, with any luck, ... Read More:
