This is a nightmare of a voice recorder. It is the epitomy of bad design. The buttons on the side are hard to use. In particular the fast forward and rewind function are terrible - you have to hold your finger down on the button and it goes maddeningly slow in either direction so that it takes an age to find a particular bit you've recorded. Also when you are holding it the battery has a tendency to pop out regularly.It's also hard to pull the two halves of the machine apart to plug it in to the usb hub. I bought this as it was slightly dearer and thought it'd be superior - wrong! My friend has a cheaper model the vn 3100 -pc and it seems a lot better. In fact I'm so annoyed with it I'm about to buy the latter as a replacement. Stay well away ... Read More:

Bought this to replace my aging Olympus 410 Mju and I am mightily impressed. Things have changed markedly in the 4 years since my first introduction to digital cameras.

It comes with a lithium ion battery, a charger, cables to connect to a computer, software (I don't use this - simply drag and drop the pictures onto your PC) and manuals (one quick introduction booklet and a CD advanced manual).

The Mju 820, is slim, light and attractive with a screen that is much bigger and clearer than I was expecting. Very simple and effective to use, but contains many options to override the default manual settings, thereby giving you the option to experiment. I bought this lens after seeing some example photos. When I received it I wanted to return it. Some distant motifs across 1 km lake where not as sharp as I had expected. But then i tried it on a soccer match. The images where razor sharp. It is also a marvel to use in close up photography - razor sharp whith crystal clear details and wonderfully unsharp background. This is also the case in portrait photography.
I have 11-22mm, 14-42, 40-150 and this one really opened a door to a new world in photography wide open for me. But bear in mind two things: Firstly, long distance photography means light penetration though large masses of air with humidity, dust and temperaturedifference-related distorsions in the air.
