I bought these binoculars on the Spur of the moment prior to attending a outdoor music event. I don't regret that. They are lightweight and extremely clear. I now intend to carry them when I am out doing a little walking. I give them the full thumbs up.

Good:

Compact, padded case into which the camera fits snugly sideways. Provides adequate protection when transporting. A small pocket on the side of the case is designed to carry those all-important four spare AA batteries. Also has a belt loop.

Bad:

Unlike the case for my old 1970s Olympus, there's no way the camera's own strap can be fed through it and used for carrying. Instead you have to painstakingly roll it up and stuff it inside and use the case's strap to carry it. This means you have to walk around with two straps around your neck when the camera is in use. Totally useless for quick deployment or stowing.

Fabulous product! I am a tutor in adult education. I record learner discussions and feedback, lesson evaluations etc. I don't have to write or type them up any more since audio is valid evidence and supports the government's drive to encourage e-learning. And, it's so easy to use. Press the record button and away you go. Recordings are loud and clear with no distortion. There is no need to struggle with any included software (there was none included with mine though). I bought a 3.5mm jack male to 3.5mm jack male lead from an amazon seller for £1.40 including postage. Plug one end into the headphone socket on the voice recorder and the other end into the microphone jack on desktop or laptop and play the recordings through "Audacity" which is ... Read More:

Olympus DS-2300 Professional Digital Voice Recorder

This is a not too bad cheap alternative for the occasional user but if it is intended for business use you will find yourself continually shelling out for batteries. I easily use a set of batteries per week so it's not entirely the green alternative. The manual says not to use rechargeable batteries - not exactly sure why unless Olympus holds shares in Duracell.
