My two kids got one of these each as birthday presents.

First annoying thing - they come with a 'continental' power lead. There is no mention of this anywhere in the product specs, and results in an annoying scramble around the house trying to locate an old one from another machine to replace it - either that or a trip down to the shops if you can't find one. This should at the very least be mentioned in the product description.

Secondly, the operation seems decidedly flaky on the cd player. I'd forgive this as a one-off problem but it is the same with both machines, so is probably the norm. The cd will play, then occasionally and randomly decide that the 'door' has been opened and restart at the beginning of ... Read More:

Sent first one back after wind type whistling/echoing noise noticable at low volume end and whilst on pause. When listening to lots of classical or film music etc it's really annoying having this buzzing noise when the music gets quieter. Thought it was fault with unit but replacement did the same and came with small scratch on the lower part of the screen.

Good points - fitted lots of albums on, picture quality and video quality was alright for small screen.

Bad Point - sound quality is not good (very, very poor)due to this continuous low level wind type whistling/echoing.

Sent replacement back immediately for refund, and will try a more well known make from Amazon for my next player.

I bought this product as a treat for myself... I wasn't really able to afford a more expensive player so this came in right around my budget. On paper, the gadget is excellent. MP3, MP4, pictures etc etc and it delivers on all of these fronts.

However the software used by the device is atrocious. Everything is so slow, ugly and disorganised that the device becomes a chore to use. If this ever received an update so it was more user friendly, it could easily become a 5 star device, but as it is, it's a silver brick that no-one wants to touch...

Potential, thy name is squandered.
