LG Mirror 2GB USB Flash Drive

I've had this flash drive for a few weeks now. Overall its a nice, simple, well made and stylish USB stick. It certainly is shiny (calling it 'Mirror' is no false advertising - you can actually see yourself in it!) and it comes with a nice LG branded neck cord. I should point out that it's made of plastic, not metal (just in case you were fooled by the picture and the price). The wording is almost holographic which is a nice touch, and there is a tiny little red LED that shows when its in use. The unit itself is thin (I can plug it in to my laptop above the mouse no problem).

This is a 512mb USB drive, it looks nice and it works. Not much else to say apart from that it's fairly fast and is a good size to fit in your wallet or wherever else you decide to put it. 512mb is a tad small nowadays though, I sometimes transfer large files (of up to 10GB)and have to split them into paritions in order to get each segment onto this drive and then attach the partitions back again on the other PC. This works but is quite tedious if you have to split the file more than once (i.e. if it's more than a GB).

Overall; a good USB for documents and such at a good price

LG LPC-BM340 DAB Radio Cassette

I have had problems with LG VCRs in the past and gave them another chance with this.

Features on paper it looks good and it does indeed have DAB and play MP3 cds (one of the few around that does both these things). My issue is not with the technical specs but rather with design. For something supposedly portable (it has a carrying handle it must be intended to be portable) it has a number of flaws..

Batteries: it takes 8 C sized batteries, fair enough its a lot but I guess it needs them... BUT it also takes 4 AA batteries just to preserve the DAB memory and power its feeble clock.

My old Compaq 17 inch CRT monitor finally went 'phut' after 9 years' use, So I had to get something to replace it. I went for broke and treated myself to this LG flatscreen job. Not the cheapest, but as I have other LG products that work well, I said OK. It has been working now for over 2 years with no problems whatsoever. A good choice. Recommended.

My old Compaq 17 inch CRT monitor finally went 'phut' after 9 years' use, So I had to get something to replace it. I went for broke and treated myself to this LG flatscreen job. Not the cheapest, but as I have other LG products that work well, I said OK. It has been working now for over 2 years with no problems whatsoever. A good choice. Recommended.
