I too was a little wary about buying without any reviews but my last LG (RZ17LZ50) gave me 2 years hassle free use, and am only upgrading because its 17" so took the plunge and bought one.
Looks great, brilliant reception on freeview even with a portable ariel, EPG has a video preview window and is very easy to follow. Sound from the hidden speakers is far better than my last one. On the hole picture quality through the non HD freeview channels is good. Looked a little unnatural with a brightly coloured set on one chatshow but everything else was great.
Then I tried my xbox 360 set it to max resolution 1080p and can honestly say I was amazed at the picture quality. Colours look fantastic and warm and no lag whatsoever.

I have had this item for a month or so and I am very pleased with it. I am currently using the freeview feature which was very easy to set up, well, it sets iteslf up really. I have fixed it to the wall with a bracket purchased through Amazon which cost £30 or thereabouts and I am now watching more TV than I have in years.
My only complaint is that the price has dropped a little since I ordered mine :-(...

It has my unreserved aprobation..

LG GGC-H20L SATA DVDRW BD/ HD DVD-ROM Black retail kit

It only took about 15 minutes to install the drive (including all the faffing about with taking the case to bits and reclipping cables)(and then 30 minutes to download updates), and I'm impressed with this product.

It comes complete with a range of software tools, enabling you to play disks, burn, archive, print labels and so on - The software provided (Cyberlink) is much better than the WinDVD software I bought for around £25 a year ago.

I've now tried it with both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray disks, and both work perfectly. I haven't yet tried to burn anything onto dvd or cd though - I'm sure it'll be okay...

The main reason for buying the drive was to keep the current game-disk in one drive, and be able to play films ... Read More:

I spent a while pondering over which flatscrren to buy online, but I am so glad I bought this one... Picture quality is great, the connectivity is great... The only thing missing from this awesome HD Ready TV is a Digi-tuner...

But honestly, for the price you really cannot go wrong with this TV.

Just to let you know before you spend a lot of money on this, they don't warn you that LG do not make their televisions with earphone output!! So if you are buying this TV to use with headphones like i did, be warned!! You are about to waste a whole lot of money!!!

I bought this tv after having a couple of 32" sony crt's and then a decent (or so i thought lcd) but this absolutley wipes the floor with anything i have ever had! It has superb picture and sound with no blurriness and no ghosting whatsoever! Its better than any plasma i have seen on the market for the comparable price and would receommend it to anyone! it looks great too 5 stars thankyou!

Just received the telly. Very simple to get going on plug in DVD, Wii and Sky. Pleased with picture quality (once changed from VIVID to STANDARD). Overall a great telly for an excellent price.

This is a top notch product. Have written to a BD-RE and BD-R with no problems. Write speeds are very good - you may have to adjust the settings in Nero or ImgBurn to get it to write at 2x. Reads blu-rays very nicely. Looks great and is very quiet. All in all, a really great product. Only downside - the BD-RE that LG supplies with the drive won't work properly. It will allow some files to be written to it, but it has problems with a Blu-ray movie image. Very strange. Anyone else have this odd occurence?
