Good value considering the low price. The ports are close together, but I have found it very useful to connect a mouse, wireless adapter and speakers therefore freeing up two more of the laptop ports. I have had no need for a power adaptor, but then I have only made modest demands on it. As a basic hub at a low price it functions well.

I do a lot of presentations with my job, and wanted a reliable & simple means of controlling Powerpoint etc remotely. This does the job perfectly.

It's plug & Play (both on my XP machine, and also my MacBook) and has controls to enable you to: -

1. Move forward (i.e. page down in PPT)
2. Move backward (i.e. page up in PPT)
3. Blank the screen (i.e. pressing B in PPT)
4. Fire the laser pointer

It fits nicely into the hand, too, and the USB receiver stick clicks into the body of the handset for easy storage. Obviously it works for other applications, too, and not just Powerpoint. It just emulates the keypresses shown above, so you can view PDFs, Word docs etc in the same way.

I've never written a review before, but this thing is so good I had to spread the word.
It is a lot more solid than it looks on the picture and has totally revolutionised my posture and workspace.

It is simply brilliant. If you are looking for something like this, look no further. This is everything you need it to be, simple, strong, and inexpensive. Buy it.

Kensington Universal FM Transmitter

Had high hopes for this transmitter but unfortunately let down. There is a high ammount of noise transmitted which results in a lot of hiss, very noticeable during quiet periods of songs. Tried every clear frequency between 88.1 and 107.9 and results do not improve. Thought it could be my player however even without a source hiss is massive. Another couple of gripes are you can only jump in 0.2 MHz steps (88.1, 88.3, ..) and that the frequency you have tuned into is hard to see on the display.
Shame that so much noise is transmitted as it deals with the music modulated alongside very well, dance, rock and pop all coming out crisp and free from distortion.

Kensington FX300 Speaker to go

My expectations of this gadget were both raised and managed by previous reviews. I certainly wasn't expecting Hi-Fi quality sound, but I was hoping for something more than the weak, tinny and underwhelming noise it produces.

On the plus side: it's a compact, light-weight and fairly well designed piece of kit - ideal for travelling etc - but, for me anyway, that doesn't compensate for the sound being inadequate and lacking any character at all.

Sound-wise, my reference point is the PowerTraveller K2000 speakers - a robust mini system which produces an incredible sound for its size. Fine if it is going to stay on a desk, but BEWARE if it will be used with a laptop or at an armchair! The trackball is not held in place and drops out very easily. So unless you fancy crawling under the sofa every five minutes, look elsewhere for your trackball mouse!

it has one usb port at the top which i found very useful for my flash USB storage.

This little beauty is so easy to use! Great reception both at home and in the car with my iPod Nano. I was up and running in less than 2 minutes. It's easy to follow the on-screen tuning on my Nano. Just hope I don't lose it in a car full of children!!

MICROSAVER COMBINATION NOTEBOOK LOCK

I bought this for use at university, it works like a charm and is easy to use. The cable is hard to cut (believe me, I tried!). It's a decent length which makes it easy to wrap around a table leg even if it's a distance away. Do not go to university without securing your laptop!
