I ordered my Ipod Classic 80gb in Black, in time for my birthday. Looking over the reviews I saw that some people had had some delays with their items arriving, so I ordered it a good month in advance. I also had next day delivery, to limit the damage that it might recieve through the post.

I was stupid to have thought it would be late. Amazon have brilliant service and you can literally buy anything from them, my ipod was late but only becasue it had been delivered to my next door neighbour as I was out and he had gone to work. I got my iPod Nano for free along with a mobile phone and thought I was getting a great deal. If I'm honest neither were that great at playing music and the phone was given to my girlfriend.

I have an old Sony Ericson k750i and loved the mp3 playback. The sound quality was superb but it was a drain on my battery if used for a while.

I thought with the iPod that this issue would be resolved and with everyone saying how good they were I felt confident that this was the answer.

The first time I played any music in my iPod I was shocked at how poor the sound quality is. It sounds very very tinny and there is almost no bass. There is an EQ function built in, that means you can switch between poor sound to really bad ... Read More:

This is a superb product at a great price. I've really enjoyed watching films on it and 8gb is more than enough space to throw in a few music albums too. The screen is bright with a resolution that makes it comfortable to watch for extended periods. After previously owning an iPod with Firewire, I've not found the USB cable an issue - it's still a quick transfer.

I have owned the 8gb version since last christmas having replaced my 20gb ATMT Storm. I am unable to find fault, simple as that. Not an Apple fan and in my opinion the Sony is probably the best alternative if you do not subscribe to the iPod theory. The 8gb is not the largest on the market but the sound quality, ease of use and battery life compensate for this.
I stand this test for all my reviews, would I buy another, definatly yes.

The first thing I did after I finally got a home computer two years ago, was to read up on all the ipods available. It didn't take me long to decide on the iPod Classic from Apple and then the wait began for it's release in Australia.
Unlike others on here, I can't compare the Classic 80gb with any other ipod as this is my first, but I can say that three and a half thousand songs later (and still climbing) I can thoroughly recommend it anyone.
Many albums from my own collection have been included, plus many purchased direct from iTunes, as their sound is better than the older CD'sand you get an album cover displayed on the ipod screen.
You can of course buy songs individually if you have a mind to, although I am an album kinda girl,myself.

I have not used it all that long, but as far as I can see there are no defects with the card.

What I'd really like to say is to those idiots complaining about postage. It said in the letter that came with the card:

"Please note postage £4.50 for each item is fixed by Amazon under Electronics & Photo category and can not be changed, total prices have been justified"

So please stfu and leave your complaints about the postage somewhere else, because this is not the fault of the supplier or the manufacturer. If you only want to take your perspective into account and not Amazon's ... Read More:

I've had my iTouch for 2 weeks and absolutely love it - well, at least the music side... When it comes to e-mail and downloads (iTunes, maps and so on), I still can't access them. So this is very disappointing. I have a Livebox (Orange) and although my iTouch seems to identify the Livebox, it cannot connect to it. Tried several dozen websites for tips and troubleshooting, but in vain...
In conclusion, great for music and pictures but 0 for connection to the Internet.
Will update this, should I manage to sort the connection problem.

had this for 4 weeks now and can't beleive how good it looks and sounds.can't fault it.i just download from wma and it is so quick to sync.impressed that it displays the artwork as it looks really cool.
to the reviewers querying the battery life,i've only just found out that although the display dimms when you're listening to music if you slide the on/off switch in the opposite direction until it clicks,this cuts off the display altogether thus conserving battery life.all in all a lovely little player.

The ipod nano 3rd generation is a real disappointment. I think most of the reviews written so far have been from people who have only had their ipod for a few days. If you haven't encountered any problems yet I'm sure you will soon because all together I've had 3 ipod nanos and they have all played up and I don't think its a coincedence. At first it works fine as I'm sure everyone will agree but it gets scratched easily, freezes whenever it feels like it and on my current ipod which I have only had for about 2 months the buttons have stopped working and the ipod won't respond. The earphones work fine but apparently break easily as 2 of my friends have told me therefore I think there are more reasons NOT to buy an ipod nano than to buy one.
