Yes, these are excellent earphones. They deliver good quality sound and substantially reduce outside noise. The rubber inserts which fit over the ear pieces (3 pairs of different sizes) are comfy enough to wear for several hours and are easy to clean. They're so good at eliminating outside noise that you need to keep your wits about you when wearing them in the street. Better than the `noise cancelling' phones which Sony and others offer and which come at a hefty price. They're certainly good for listening to relaxation and ambient music.

The only minor point is that, while the cord at 120 cm is a good length for portable devices, it's not quite long enough for static kit - my pc sits close to the floor and the cord is a bit ... Read More:

Not expensive but found them to be less responsive than the ones supplied with my Zen Creative player.

All in all a waste of money considering what they are supposed to do.

Bought these speakers as I was fed up with charging my iPod via my PC's USB, and also wanted to listen to music whilst in my craft room ! Didn't want anything too expensive, so after reading the reviews plumped for these! I must say it was very easy to set up, and I was playing my favourite tracks within minutes. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality, which was even better than I had anticipated for the price I paid. Nice compact size, and the black looks good with my pink iPod !
I am glad I purchased these speakers, and once again the delivery time and service was excellent from Amazon.

I've tried many headphones whilst running and most aren't worth bothering with. You can spend a lot of money on a pair with good sound quality but they either fall out, need constant adjustment, or hurt your ears. These Sennheisers are the first pair that I've been completely satisfied with. No matter how much you swing or nod your head, these things just don't move. The fit is pretty much perfect for my ears so much that I don't even notice them on after a long run.

The only slight drawback is that the neckband sometimes gets caught on your clothing, which sounds like someone blowing hard in your ears. Oh, and you have to like green!

I purchased these headphones to replace those supplied with my ipod.
The sound was fairly good for the price however there is a fair amount of 'wire noise' whilst walking.
Sadly one of the earpieces stopped working after 2 months - I am looking for an alternative replacement.

I can honestly say I've never owned a set of earphones with such good sound quality, especially for the price. The sound is as loud as anyone would require, very bassy, and they come with different size ear-pieces to give you the perfect fit.

Fantastic, once I knacker these ones I will definately buy the same set again as I don't believe it could get any better.

I read the reviews bought a pair of CX500 and expected to hear the best ever sound from my ipod. But, to my amazement the sound was the worst I have ever heard. My original ipod phones were so much better and so were a pair costing £2.50. I concluded that the CX500's were faulty and sent them back. I received replacements without question (and thank you for such efficiency here). But, the replacements sounded just the same! Surely two pairs cannot be faulty and so I conclude that the CX500's are just not for me. No bass at all; far too much hiss and ipod needing near full volume to power them. Apologies Sennheiser but I won't be purchasing any more phones from you.

I bought this headset for someone else so when we chat, I'm able to hear the sound quality it produces - for under a tenner it's much better than I was expecting but of course if you spend more you get even better quality (such as one of the officially billed Skype headsets, the larger of them made by Plantronics).

The one complaint from the recipient was, the earpads weren't the most comfortable in the world and if you have small children you have to make sure they don't get hold of this headset and rip the pads off making them too painful to wear.

Spending more gets you a model that can take more physical punishment, but that's the same with all technical equipment. If you're just kitting someone out with a better mic than they may have received with ... Read More:

Sent these back - I read the mediocre reviews of Apple's own earphones for the iPod and thought these would be better. Trying any of the three adaptors made no difference. Had to turn the volume right up to hear anything.
