Hi there! I'have been lately a huge fan of the tv series, so I've borrowed even the oledest seasons to recap the whole story, and of course, I really enjoy it, and I'm loooking forward to watch the LIpstick Jungle one too, because I'm a fan of the approach of the writer of the books behind the show...but I must admit that I don't have really liked this movie: and it is a pity, because it was so strange to see how much the film moved from the concept of the series towards..boh?
Perhaps the mainstream general flavour? The # 2 film?? Who knows..the fact is that I loved the show because it was almost perfect in putting in order and places the different personalities of the characters, the original strories and last but not least, the ... Read More:

I watched the first episode of the Wire a few months ago and wasn't sure what to make of it and allowed the box set to gather dust on the shelf. However, while on holiday I started watching 2 or 3 episodes at a time and suddenly it had a rhythm that wasn't there before. This isn't some quick fix TV like Lost or 24, this unfolds like a novel (unsurprising as the show features writing from the likes of Dennis Lehane and George Pelecanos) and rewards the viewer who follows the simple instruction on the cover of the box 'Listen Carefully'. I'm now on series 4 and it gets better and better - I envy those who haven't yet discovered this brilliant series - they have such an treat in store for them.

The first three seasons of Lost seemed to have marked themselves as a kind of thematic trilogy. The worry presenting viewers and the writers now is how will this show live on for another three years after so much grandstanding storytelling of seasons past? Here in Season Four that fear is quelled to some extent where past, present and now future collide.
Admittedly, the fourth year begins rather disappointingly with a teaser opening that has neither the adrenaline fuelled charge of Season 1's Pilot, nor the dumbfounding revelation of the season 2 hatch opening, nor the slam-bang, jaw dropping Others-intro on display at the start of season 3. Instead "The Beginning and The End" throws us into the future by starting on a cliché and out-of-place car chase ... Read More:

I pre-ordered the 2 disc special edition from Amazon and as promised it was delievered slap bang on my doorstep on its official release date. Well done Amazon. Anyhow saw the film at the pics, fantastic. Decided to buy this edition and boy what a waste of money. Stick to the normal edition. I thought there would be loads of interviews with the cast but there was just one with SJP and the writer Michael King. A look at the wardrobe dept. and a commentary on deleted scenes. Nothing too much to interest you there. If you are a big fan though you would probably invest in this edition but otherwise save your cash, buy the 1 disc DVD and purchase the soundtrack of the album (which is awesome) with the money you have saved.

A fantastic series, the Tudors brings the period to life. Rather than give us a stuffy and historically accurate version of the period, the Tudors does what all good history should do; it tells an engaging story. History is worthless if it is not interpreted in a way which makes it relevent and interesting.
Bring on Series 3.

This film is so great that even the critics are comparing it to the Godfather, Goodfellas, Raiders of the lost ark, Scarface and many of the other classic movie hits in the world.
Now for any film to reach up to that callaber has to have the best acting, the best storyline and volience and The Dark Knight definately has them you dont even need to be a comic book fan to love this film but this is the most confirmed best comic book film this decade expecially much more better and more relistic than the spiderman films, and the superman films,
this movie also redifines comic book movie to the relistic world "wellcome to a world without rules".

I studied this historical period in depth and most evidence suggests, (and it is widely accepted), that Henry VIII was in fact a handsome young man in his earlier years. He was tall and solid, a bit unlike the typical stature of the time, one look at his suit of armour can tell us that. They image we usually see of Henry as a tall, large, bearded man was in his later years. Certainly around the time of his first marriage to Catherine, he was an athletic young man. Even after the end of his marriage to Jane Seymour, after her death, he was widely considered to be Europe's ultimate bachelor in a sense!
It doesn't matter about how good-looking he was on a scale of 1-10, or anything trivial like that. What matters is that he was a strong character who at times was weakened by his lust ... Read More:

When The Wire started it was easy to see it as just another cop show, until its overwhelmingly high quality lifted it onto another level. After all, the narrative of Season 1 was simply that of cops versus drug dealers, with some murky political dealings on the side but these were left relatively unexplored. Season 2, however, shows creator David Simon's real plan: he is trying to craft the definitive portrayal of the turn-of-the-century American city. Like a Grand Theft Auto game, progressing onto Season 2 'unlocks' another chunk of the city, this time the docks and a new cast of characters, including Eastern European criminals, the unions and their families, and introduces an important new thread to the tapestry of the show.
At the end of Season 1, Lt. Daniels' unit successfully ... Read More:
