Ladies and Gentlemen, this is a classic.
Welcome to the world of Wall-e (Waste Allocation Lifter Earth-Class) the loveable robot. The plot (far from weak) circles around the sole surviving example of a machine deployed to clear the planet of the mess that mankind has made of it, whilst the human race left the planet with a plan to return once the mess was gone. This plan has however failed leaving Wall-e to continue with the task on his own. A rubbish clearing robot with caterpillar tracks for feet that lives in a container collecting human artefacts, is hardly the profile of a hero to save the world but then I guess that is the point.
Speaking as somebody who doesn't consider themselves a tree hugger, I can see how ... Read More:

Released in time for the recent Olympic games driven focus on China,or is this too cynical an interpretation? The cartoon has a storyline we have seen lots and lots of times before-"hopeless looser who dreams of glory, gets his big chance and after some difficulty reveals true ability".How many times can this theme be recycled, before we say STOP-enough.So,in this cartoon, instead of a boxer;dancer;singer;karate kid;ogre;surfing penguin or whatever,we have a panda bear and other assorted animals in the usual roles. The story is entirely linear, predictable, with little new to say.The "jokes" are lame, and the baddie gets his just desserts .If you have limited funds to spend on animation films, then give this one a miss, and see it on TV for free.

I don't want to write any more plots or story about this wonderful sequel; there are many reviewers who already did this. I just want to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel than I would have. This time, the filming and special effects have very much improved. It is a story for mainly for children and young adults. Since I am a child at heart, I always loved watching this kind of genre movies. And I have to say, this is Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is almost good enough to be compared to the "Lord of The Rings" Trilogy. I hope the next sequels to Narnia will get better and better.

In one of Walt Disney's classics, Bagheera the panther offers to take Mowgli, a young boy, to the man village before the evil tiger Shere Khan gets to him.
This family adventure is a classic, made so by a beautiful sentimental plot about human emotions, including loyalty, sensitivity and most importantly love. And these human emotions are decoded through the animals of the jungle.
With the enchanting and fun loving actions of Baloo the bear and the honest and hard actions of Bagheera, do audiences get that true feel of the human spirit, and the facts of life, to have fun, but to face the truth as well, which is also reflected in some of the most catchy and enjoyable songs ever created for a Disney picture.

The film is good fun, but this review is about the bluray disc.
Excellent picture. Had a friend round to watch it, he has seen films on my system before (sony 40 inch bravia with PS3) but his jaw was dropping to the ground on this.
The CGI in particular is stunning on the Bluray disc, every time I watch it I notice some new bit of detail on the robots, though generally every scene is of very high visual quality.
The sound is available on DTS HD, which is very good, although it is a pity they did not go for linear uncompressed.
As I say the sound is very good, all channels are clear and crisp and the bass in particular is impressive.
This bluray disc is a brilliant showpiece for your home cinema system.

I was going to buy the Snow buddies dvd but after reading the first review I checked the story. I read the pups were only 6 weeks old before being taken from their mother 2 died and some other pups contracted parvo. So this film certainly will not be in my grandson's christmas stocking.Snow Buddies [2008]

I have been trying to remember the first time I saw Walt Disney's "Sleeping Beauty," and I cannot remember if I ever saw it in a theater, caught it on television some time, or never sat down to watch it until it came out on videotape. What I did remember is not being particularly impressed by the movie. Certainly I did not consider it to be a classic Disney animated film like "Bambi" or "Cinderella," which is a way of saying that it was not on my "must have" list of Disney movies. Then I watched this 50th Anniversary Platinum Edition of "Sleeping Beauty" and all I can say is that however I saw this film for the first time it was NOT in this expanded version that has restored the original Super Technirama 70 dimensions of the film. I would have remembered a film that had art this ... Read More:

Although I am not the greatest Harry Potter fan in the world I have always enjoyed the film series and thankfully this film continues this trend. The Order of the Phoenix sees the dark lord Voldemort gathering his forces but with the Ministry of Magic refusing to acknowledge his return Harry and his friends must defy the Ministry in order to prepare for the coming war. Complicating matters is Ms Umbridge, the Ministry appointed Defence from the Dark Arts teacher, who is willing to do anything for the Ministry of Magic.
I haven't read any of the Potter books as yet and as such I cannot comment about how closely this film sticks to the book and I have heard mixed reports on the subject. Nevertheless I do feel that the film fits in very will with the style established by ... Read More:

Disney films have pretty much gone downhill since the "Hunchback of Notre Dame" animated movie. In that film, the heroine kicks men in the groin to make her escape and the comedy relief is provided by a stone gargoyle that relieves itself by passing gas.
In this film, we have a live dog urinating on the leg of a prince and a chipmunk that defecates when frightened.
Is this what passes for family entertainment these days?

Each time I have seen a film from Pixar Studio, I have been impressed not only with its animation, but excellent plot too. This time, however, Pixar Studio has rendered a true cinematic animation masterpiece, one which should be recognized as memorable as the great Walt Disney films of the 1930s and 1940s. A masterpiece which ought to appeal to kids of all ages. In "Wall - E" Pixar has a spellbinding example - maybe the first - of a romantic science fiction thriller that lacks a dull moment, even though much of the film lacks substantial dialogue. So who cares whether the robot Wall - E can speak fluent English; audiences will recognize him as an admirable and lovable creature, whose very actions remind me at least of Charlie Chaplin's dull-witted tramp (Indeed, I wouldn't be surprised at all ...
