As a straight 39-year-old man I was wary of watching High School Musical to say the least. However I really enjoyed it.

Okay, it is an all smiling all dancing cheesy musical. And you can predict the storyline from the opening credits. But it is done in such a pleasant way that you probably won't be able to help yourself singing along, even if it is to yourself!

The story is hardly groundbreaking. Boy meets girl on vacation. They click (singing a karaoke duet, of course) and, would you believe it, she is transferred to his High School. He's a top basketball player but has a secret desire to sing and dance. They try out for the school musical and the rest as they say is history, or at least a good laugh.

Wow! Three words to describe this feelgood movie. Its summer vacation but its not all fun and games for Troy, Gabriella and fellow wildcats as they begin work at Lava Springs country club which Sharpay's parents own. Sharpay tries to snatch Troy away from Gabriella and in the meantime there is the Lava Springs talent show to worry about.
Filled with catchy songs, a talented cast and a good storyline this movie is clean and heartwarming...siutable for the whole family.

this concert is just amazing for any high school musical fan how ever big or small and no matter what age.includes high school musical hits and some solo songs "showcases" off some solo albums.it is a shame zac is not in the cncert but you can easily get past that and enjoy it from start to finish.with dancing and fireworks you just cant go wrong. its just a shame i dont live in america so i could of went :)

The High School Musical films are my absolute favourites - and the favourites of most of my friends too. This is the ultimate collection of the films, if you are as big a fan as me then buy this!

So, I'm sure you're asking yourself if this Blu-ray is worth the upgrade? After all Disney have released HSM so many times already even the biggest fans must be feeling cheated! We've had sing-a-long, a dance version, remix and encore when will it end? Well, the good news is that all of those versions are on this disc! Sing-along is basically karaoke. Dance along means that the cast teach you the moves to two songs (16 minutes) So, is it worth buying again? I'll answer that with a resounding yes! The picture on this transfer is flawless and one of the top five transfers I've ever seen. Sometimes the picture feels like 3D (like you're looking through a window and not a television set) Colours are the sharpest I've ever seen and every aspect is visable. That's ... Read More:

I'm writing this review for my 7 year old daughter. She thinks that this film is great. The singing is good, the dancing is good, the acting is good, the story is good - if you are a 7 old year old girl then the whole thing is great.

From a parental point of view you can put this film on and let children watch it. There are no nasty undertones, like there are in Grease (which is mentioned in one of the other reviews), everythng is whiter than white, even the "nasty" characters all turn out good in the end. If you have a daughter then she will probably be singing and dancing to this for years - my son, however, can do without it.

Sorry, but this movie destroyed a classic!
It's spy-kids in space!
This movie could have been the beginning of a very successful movie series like Star Wars or Star trek. Why aim it exclusively at 6 year olds?
The fact that you can now pick up the DVD for £1 in bargain bins anywhere says it all.
The actors were mis-cast, (except Ben Kingsley who was excellent as the hood) FAB 1 was a FORD!!!!, the Thunderbirds craft were ok, but had none of the original 'style' of the TV craft. I mean, TB2 is a world famous icon now. Why mess with it???
The SFX were APPALLING!!!
I've seen beter computer graphics on old Amstrad games!
And worst of all, the story was RUBBISH!

I borrowed this video from the local library to see if my three-year-old grandson would enjoy it. He did. So I took it out again when he next visited. And then I received a telephone request from him: would I bring it with me when I visited him. He watched it over and over and over again and was so upset when I had to bring it home with me that I'm now buying a copy from Amazon. I've watched bits and pieces of the movie but had no idea what it was all about until I read one of the on-line reviews here today. My son was a great fan of the puppets but although my grandson has the complete set he won't watch them - he prefers the live actors.

i went to see hsm3 with my 4 year old my niece who is 7 and my sister. I am 32 and my sis is 38. we both loved the film. We have both seen 1 and 2 so many times we know all the song words and most of the words to the films. Our children were sat in the pics dancing and trying to sing to the songs and myself and my sis were actually crying it is a top film and all the people who say it isnt i think really did enjoy it but wont admitt they did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 out of 10. Great singing great dancing top film!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
