the first 20 minutes of this film is mind blowing with the d-day beach landings where the soldiers just run into artillery fire and bombs it's so realistic it's frightning.
but then the action slows down has we follow the rescue mission , the cast all perform brilliantly and the "master" mr spielberg keeps us entertained throughout the journey but after the start to the film any other action scene's will obviously dissapoint.this film is a must buy for all war film fans just for the brutal battle scene's alone.

i loved this film- if you are a fan of the ring, the grudge, dark water etc you will love it. I think it's much better than many are saying and the first 5 minutes are scary enough.....

Lanie Kerrigan (Angelina Jolie) is an ambitious Seattle newscaster who dreams of going national. One day she does an interview with a homeless man who claims to be a psychic; he predicts the score of a coming football game, calls for hail the next day, and then tells her she's going to be dead in a week. When the first two predictions come true, Lanie really starts to worry.

This is a perfectly nice little movie, but it's instantly forgettable. Picture a Meg Ryan-type romantic comedy without at least one tear-inducing scene. Jolie is perky as the driven newscaster (despite a really hideous Pamela Anderson-hair do), but she's just not special enough to care about. This film won't make your blood pressure go up or down but it will keep you interested for its duration.The centre of interest are the brothers who can't get on well but who can't dislike each other enough to stay away from one another either.Something a lot of brothers and sisters in real life will relate to I think.And look out for John Mahoney who plays their dad and who was the dad of Frasier and Niles Crane in the tv sitcom Frasier.

This is a really great collection. 4 totally different roles. My personal favourite are "Beyond Borders" in terms of Jolie as an actress and "Mr and Mrs Smith" as a whole. I rarely review products here, but this time I was really impressed by this box set - I highly recommend this collection. A true gem!

Caper movies have been well served in the 90's and to some extent into the noughties. Movies like Ocean's Eleven, The Grifters, Heist and many others, have raised the bar for the con artist on the silver screen. `Confidence' aims high, and just scrapes over the bar, but without much room to spare.
The plot - well, it would spoil it to tell.. but even if I wanted to it would be difficult, as maze-like as it is. Suffice to say, when a con turns out to have inadvertently trodden on a ganglord's toes (Dustin Hoffman), the con-artist (Ed Burns) agrees to pull a huge job to get the money back and keep everyone happy... but who can anyone trust, and what is as it seems?
Great performances abound - the talent on display here is formidable through to the most minor of characters. ... Read More:

From Time Portals to Giant bugs to dinosaurs to mutant monsters - A sound of thunder is a brilliant movie.

Katherine Heigl plays a brilliant love-sick assistant who is waiting in the wings for her boss to fall for her. I love her in Grey's Anatomy but have to admit not a fan of Knocked Up so was overjoyed that she fitted into her role in this film. Everyone else was excellent but you cannot sit through a rom-com if you don't like the central character. The only negative there can be about this film is the scene before the last, I won't ruin it, but the main male character's reaction should have been reworked. This however can not bring a good film too far down; especially as it has what I have been rooting for for ages- the female to male slap.
