I throughly enjoyed this book. I was a little disappointed that it was so short as i wanted to keep reading, hence how good it was. This was the only reason i didn't give it a 5 star.
The book was a nice addition to the dark materials series. It gave me a insight to lee scorsby the aeronaut, this was interesting and enjoyable as we dont hear so much about him in the other books.
The prensentation of the book was brillant. It has a nice cover and not only that it includes a board game which was mentioned in the book. I throughly enjoyed playing it.
Overall i would say it was a very welcome addition to his dark materails series. My next book will be lyras oxford as i am sure it will be another interesting insight into ... Read More:

Northern Lights is brilliant in almost every respect; fast-moving, well-written, imaginative. The Subtle Knife is almost as good, but begins to be diffuse. The Amber Spyglass is, frankly, rubbish. In order to understand what is going on here, you have to have read an obscure essay by a second-rank German author (Heinrich v. Kleist) that Pullman is always going on about. By a logic that defeats me, it concludes that a re-temptation of Eve will undo the disaster that came from the first temptation. Hence Lyra (she's the new Eve, we're told) goes all tingly when she's kissed (only kissed, mind you). This saves the world (don't ask me how). Pullman's cosmogony/theology is even wackier than the Christian version to which he's so hostile. Nor does The ... Read More:

I was a late convert to the world of Buffy. Like many I had watched it as a teenager, enjoyed it, and then been persuaded by who knows who, that it was not something one should be proud of watching. Then I watched Serenity and thought it was great, backtracked to firefly and loved that too. Then one day somebody told me that the same guy that did those, did buffy. "WHAT!" I said, "That cant be!", half clouded by the fact that everybody said that Buffy was rubbish, half trying to cover up my embarrassment of not making this ling earlier.
So to cut a long story short, I watched all of Buffy in a very short time, and I loved it. And then I watched Angel and I loved it less, but loved it all the same.

this book is so beautiful. it really is amazing. the last line of the book sums it all up, i can't say what it is cos that would ruin it. i just lent my copy to my mate, and the reason i wanted her to read it is the last line. if u buy they book don't open it at the last page, it won't make sense, read it, savour it, love it, and understand it. u will, anyone could. the characters are described perfectly especially haven and sumner. when u read it u r them, u understand them, u love them. it's worth reading, it really is. it starts with a poem called at every wedding someone stays at home, which is perfect. i've never read a book like, and i never will again. it is so amazing. read it and see what i mean

Fruits Basket has always been a big manga, and ever since the 13th volume onwards, it's started to get darker, as the story has progressed. Now, Fruits Basket reveals what we've all been wanting to know: what -was- Kyo's involvement with Kyoko?
A surprising descriptive manga, and a lot of surprises in store for everyone.
Fruits Basket: Volume 20 has it all: drama, romance, and thebit of comedy we've come to expect.
Buy this if you're ready for the fun and suspense Furuba has come to give us!

This has become one of my favourite books. I've always loved the "witches" series and the "nac mac feegle" who appear in Carpe Jugulum invaded my brain, kicked a few bottles around and dossed down.
This is, as others have said, the third in the "Tiffany Aching" series. I admit I enjoyed the first, wasn't too struck with the second (to start with), but with this one Pratchett is back to his best. It hooked me from the start.
Pratchett's talent and skill is in the folklore and the facts which he uses in the books, the little things, like the old belief in summer and winter Gods, the laying out and sitting with the dead, etc. For me it is these small factual titbits that add to the story and make it more than your typical 'story book'. ... while this isn't the best story in the history of the new who novels, it certainly kept my interest. i thought david tennant was FANTASTIC at the accents and mannerisms of each character, especially the doctor (of course) and as donna.
i purchased this after series 4 ended to cheer myself up and this book did the trick. if you want to spend some time with donna and the doctor and enjoy a good story, i highly recommend this.
