This is a great little book. Yes it does largely apply to film, but it doesn't take much know-how to translate the info into digital setting. The camera just takes the picture, after all, and it's the person behind the eyepiece who makes the image. Lee Frost gives very good advice, and this book is well worth the money. Highly recommended.

I was lucky I purchased this book for a realy cheap price!If you are a
home seamster that has not drawn a basic proportional fashion figure then -
Don't buy this, dont bother. This is not what it says it is.
If you are seeking to learn to draw fashion,take a university course, this book will not help you until you know how to draw a fashion figure!!!!
The book is very pretty,but techniques, principles, no!
Mostly it is for those that can draw a fashion figure already. Once you can do that, this book will help give you ideas on how to modify your basic model.
Again I must warn you that there is no Basic model here! There should have been.This book is not for the home seamster who wants to depict the ideas in their head ... Read More:

This book is filled to the brim with 371, yes 371 individual sources/texts each with an introduction to contextualise each one. Using it for an essay or dissertation will provide you with quotes that you would not be able to find in other books as well as giving you some of the more obvious source which are great too. It is a big book at 1250 pages which was intimating at first when it dropped through the door but really quickly I discovered that its as good as having a whole library in one book which is just about portable.

This is a great book and when you start using it you will realise what a bargain it is too. Worth its weight in gold

This is brilliant, a must for any Bristolian who may remember seeing the work around Bristol before all the hype. If you aren't from Bristol, this book will show you lots of Banksy work that can't be seen anywhere else. Quality.

There are some great features to Amazon: competitive prices, the chance to browse for a vast selection of books at any hour of the day, generally good service. Here is a bad thing: judging a book by its cover (or the reputation of the author). I bought this because I have enjoyed some of Theroux's TV programmes and it sounded a bit different.

Theroux's plan is to revisit subjects he had met during the making of a TV series on weird Americans and see how they have changed in the intervening few years. The problem is that it doesn't quite work and I think Theroux realises that quite quickly. The writing is engaging and honest but it's partly a story of tracking the people down and partly a story about what they said when he found them. Neither ... Read More:

This is the second Photoshop CS3 book I have purchase by Scott Kelby
I bought the 7 point system for Adobe Photoshop CS3 on the strength of how good the previous Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers.
The thing about this book it makes you want to take better photos. Whether you have a top of the range SLR or a point and shoot this step by step guides to creating great photos is so addictive.
This book drums into you head the steps you need to create great photos.
For me it made me look through the view finder in a different way, Now I know how to make my pictures look better in Photoshop CS3 I want better results from my camera and that means changing the way it look at the shots I am taking.

I found out about this book when I came across her website. Liking what I saw I decided to get her book from my local library ( a definate pattern here ) and was blown away by what she had created in her book. A few months later I now have this book all to myself :D as a birthday presant.

I bought the Spiral Draw Book for my 9-year old son last year. He has used it and used it. No complaints when asked to make a card, design a poster, write a letter. Everything has been decorated with different spiral patterns, or spiral patterns turned into animals, monsters, etc. It takes a bit of getting used to plus a bit of concentration, but now my 7-year old is starting to have a go.
