We have been using this book for about 7 months now, and find the information very helpful in how to feed our new arrival. How to introduce different types of food and when have made life so much easier for my wife and I. The recipes are very easy to follow and we would recommend this book to anyone who has just had a baby.

At first I thought this book was brilliant but actually it's got incorrect information in it which could be a danger to your child and I couldn't trust it!!
In the 4-7 month category it has recipes for oats and meat. If you're weaning your child before 6 months you should know that you cannot give meat to them and only gluten free oats, which it doesn't mention.
I wouldn't trust this book and will not be using it. Unfortunately I didn't get to look at it until it was too late to return.

There is much to like about Dobson's book. It's luscious photography; the author's uncomplicated writing style; the accessible recipes; it's contemporary 'feel'; it's emphasis on fresh, seasonal produce. It does what it says on the cover: it's easy. Personally, I'd like a little more complexity and originality - this just feels a tiny bit insubstantial as it is.

This was an alright book, The recipes weren't very different to most normal cookbooks how ever if you are interested in learning more about organic foods, it has some excellent sections to explain what organic foods are and why you should use them. for this i would rate it 4 stars but for the book as a whole only 3.

I found various things in this book very interesting and useful. Mainly the recipes using the blender and raw ingredient combinations, the cakes, bars and little extras section (all vegan), the banana bread recipe is really easy and delicious. Also contains interesting info regarding juicing for babies which I hadn't considered until I read this book.

This book is terrible (why doesn't Amazon let you give something 0 stars?!). Knowing famous people and having been to expensive doctors/therapists does not qualify you to write a book about organic principles. I can't believe anyone agreed to publish this load of tripe. They clearly didn't spend much money on proofreading/editing, either, and the layout means the whole thing is even more wasteful than it would have been anyway. Avoid!

This is a brilliant book, looking at the farmers who grow and develop various organic produce. It is written in a month-to-a-chapter format, with each chapter highlighting a particular sector of the organic industry, IE bakery, dairy, meat etc. It has some excellent tips on growing your own produce and tells you what you should be doing in your garden at each point in the year. This was very interesting to read and helpful in increasing my knowledge of organic food and it's benefit in one's diet.

Excellent book, with an introduction on each meat type on the things to look out for, how the animals are kept and what impact that has on flavour, plus schemes of the cuts. There are loads of recipes in the book, from all over the world and the ones we have tried were delicious. There are also sections on goat and kid meat and veal (pink, organic veal that is) that are rarely to be found in other cookery books. There is also a section on cooking for a crowd which seems a brilliant idea.

Having recently moved to London and not knowing my way around, I found this book exceptionally useful. I've had some great meals at places recommended by it such as Rasa in Stoke Newington and the Peking Palace in the Archway and found the reviews a very good reflection on what the places are like right down to the decor. It's a good book to refer to whenever you are planning to go out especially in parts of London that you are not familiar with. As I try to eat organic, the restaurant and shop information was particularly handy. There's a lot of detail in this book and I'd thoroughly recommend it.
