I followed it to the letter and lost 8lb in 7 days (I was 1.5st overweight, but otherwise fit). It required v little willpower. I didn't even crave chocolate (and I was a 2-3 bar per day girl before) and it has definately unhooked me from my unhealthy eating habits (sugar, salt, caffeine, comfort food) and given me the boost I needed.

The plan requires organisation and the ability to wash up lots (the juicer and blender) as you are making juices up to 5 times per day! Once you're in the swing of it, the juices are quick and will probably save you time compared to regular cooking.

I love this book, infact I love juicing. Jason is a great inspiration and juicing certainly helped me to a healthier and trimmer body. I have tried most of the recipes and all of them taste wonderful. The vegetable ones are a great way to use up the excess stock from my allotment.
I didn't even buy this book - it came free with my juicer, now that's a bargain.

Finally, I've found somebody who has told me that dieting doesn't work and actually PROVED to me that he's right! I never would have believed it but I've found the solution to my health and weight problems all in one book (or two - because I found the 7 lbs in 7 days juicing plan an absolute 'must'). This man talks little rubbish, doesn't pussy-foot around with words and makes complete and utter sense just as long as you're open to admitting it! You really cannot disagree with anything here. Whether you follow the plan itself or not, I would defy anybody who reads this book not to think twice before diving into that packet of biccies or frying up a pound of sausages - and perhaps (even hopefully??) choosing an alternative.

Three stars is an average, actually. I give the book five stars. It is inspiring, makes you look at the "Big Food" ( and "Big Health") industry in a totally different (and much wiser) way, and its principles will help you looking after your health even if you don't endorse them completely. The recipes for juices, smoothies, salads and soups are really lovely, and I'm really happy a juicer made it's entrance into my life. The diet, on the other side, gets one star. It made me feel exausted , my muscles ached, and I felt angry (though never hungry, I admit) all the time. I lost two pounds in the first (and last) week (I followed the plan to the letter, and I haven't got a thyroid problem), and so it wasn't even worth suffering. I can lose this amount of ... I bought this book on the back of so many good reviews but it was unable to help me in solving my long-term issues with food.
The book contains really good information and is a worthwhile read but I don't think it's the solution for everyone.
It didn't get to the root of my psychological issues and didn't help me out of my poor thought patterns.
Try it, it may work for you, then again it may not.

My name is Jason Vale and I am the author of this book. I don't usually look at my own reviews, but decided to take a little look.
I wrote this book some time ago and I have to agree with some of the comments. The recipe names are extremely bad puns and I cringe myself when I look back at them. I have changed them, but that won't be until the next print run. I have never pretended to be the best writer in the world and I write my books with everyone in mind. One comment I don't agree with at all is the one about this book being copied from Leslie Kenton. I think Leslie is a great author of health, but my books and hers are very different. This book is great, just what I needed.

I've gone from eating 20 100g bars of expensive organic choc per week (!) to none!

I just don't want to eat it any more. I've seen it for what it really is.

I now have the money and energy to do the things I like to do!
