I introduced my daughter to this book a month ago when she was 9 months old, and it is by far her favourite book. She crawls over to it and lobs other books out of the way to get to it, and then happily sits turning the pages and opening and closing the flaps, she can't get enough of it no matter what time of day it is, although we also read it every night before bed as well. We've had to buy a second copy as I know she's going to tear something soon, but to date it has withstood her vigorous opening/closing/page turning! I would highly recommend it.

The Tickle Book

This book is excellent. My brother-in-law bought this along with "The Bedtime Bear" as a Christmas present when my now almost 3 year old son was about 5 months old. The book got put away and forgotten about at the time as he was too young. We found the book last week and got it out as he is now big enough for it. I have never seen a reaction from him quite like this one! He loves reading anyway (always insisting on reading it himself) but this book is without a doubt his favourite. I have lost track of how many times he has read it since we got it out for him!

The tabs aren't very good for little fingers, but if you read it together you can 'help' and hopefully the book won't become too damaged.

Harry and the Dinosaurs make a Christmas Wish

My young sons and I love reading the Harry stories, and this is one of the best. Harry and his dinosaurs desperately want a duckling for Christmas . GRAN as usual comes up with a good idea!
Harrys relationship with his Gran is particularly touching. The illustrations in the stories are fabulous. Highly recommended.

Harry and his bucketful of dinosaurs are quite simply heaps of fun and the adventures are relished by my four year old. The illustrations are excellent and packed full of fun details. Sister Sam always winds Harry up at some point and gets something thrown at her or over her, which always makes us laugh - it is such a realistic and familiar scenario!

There are also some very moving and helpful subjects covered in among the fun, such as Nan being taken to hospital in the middle of the night when she is very poorly.

The five stories in this book make it a fantastic bargain and it has very quickly become a firm favourite for our wee lad. These are fun stories to read out loud and they are so very enjoyable for the parent ... Read More:

Ian Whybrow is probably best known for his Harry and the Dinosaurs/Robots series. He collaborates here with the illustrator Axel Scheffler (famous for his work with Julia Donaldson on the Gruffalo, The Snail and the Whale etc). These successful individuals provide a winning combination in producing The Christmas Bear.

There is a catchy poem that takes you through the book. The poem/story follows a teddy bear from Santa's workshop who gets left behind accidentally when Santa goes off on his Christmas Eve rounds. He has numerous strange adventures on land, sea and in the air trying to catch Santa. Along the way he is aided by a whole host of creatures. Harry and the Dinosaurs at the Museum

This book is great. Lovely crisp and clear pictures, good story and a natural history/human evolution lesson in disguise.
Mum, Nan and Harry and big sister Sam go to the museum because Sam needs to research the Romans for homework. Harry takes his bucket of dinosaurs (including a new pterodactyl). They see cavemen, mummies and Romans. Then Harry wanders off and finds the dinosaur skeletons: Wow! Harry, the dinosaurs and my children are all wide-eyed. Plus there's a smashing illustration in the museum café of Triceratops playing a caveman, pterodactyl a legionnaire and T Rex a mummy.
My children and I love all the Harry books and this one is everything you'd hope for. I do think that the 'Harry and the bucketful of dinosaurs' series is a slightly ... Read More:
