This is one of the most irritating books ever printed. Buy for anyone you really dislike and feel satisfied that every time they have to read it they will be driven insane by it's wittering drivel.

Dr. Seuss has done it again. He has written a lovely rhyme, which has been made into a movie which was really good, and he left me astounded. Remember: This book is based on the movie not the real rhyme by Dr. Seuss (I think)! Please check out all the other reviews I have written of other Dr. Seuss's books (the list is at the bottom) and please, please, please comment one!
Let's get back to the book; it starts at the Walden household when it was a total uproar. It finishes in the Walden household after, the Cat in the Hat, the hero, finishes cleaning the whole place up and driving away!
This book is one of my favourites and I would rate it 9/ 10; I would recommend it to anyone who watched the movie but forgot about it and wanted ... Read More:

On the surface One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, the third Beginner Book that Dr. Suss (Ted Geisel) wrote, might appear to be a book of merely counting, colours, opposites and other concepts. The book revolves around the motto of "funny things are everywhere", and the fish in different guises are but the welcome mat to this wild, weird world. The creatures and crazy situations in the book (Yink, Yop, Ying, Gack, Zans, etc) are designed to encourage readers to embrace the world in all its quirkiness and diversity, and there are small sentiments peppered throughout the book such as "These things are fun, and fun is good" and "If you wish to make a wish". This book may be plotless, but the theme of funny things and embracing the world help to anchor it and make it a Seuss masterpiece.

All children should have the oportunity to read about Horton. He is brave and has a great and tender soul. He can teach us all that being good and being helpful makes the world a better place.I highly recomend this book as well as Horton hatches and egg.

Sorry to be a party pooper but I loathed this book, unlike most of the other books in this series. The rhymes were good, granted, but the tone was awful; preachy, miserable and sometimes scary. I like the idea of the book, which is why I bought it but in reality it offers very little. Definitely not a bed-time reading book I'd say.

Dr. Seuss, the famous author of `The Cat in the Hat' and `how the Grinch stole Christmas', has written this masterpiece (which is tricky to say)!
Fox in Socks is a brilliant board for books and it is a book of crazy tongue twisters. It is a simple, sturdy book for babies of all ages (as it says on the back). Dr. Seuss is great if you want a laugh or you need some cheering up (although hit might frustrate you at times)!
In this book, there is a fox, Knox, chicks, Sue and Slow Joe Crow. In addition, an unnamed chicken chews the blue gooey goo. I think this book is lovely but the events are very, very, very random. I would rate this book 7/ 10 and I would recommend it to all children and fun-loving adults.

We've got a now 6 month old and he loves this book - it's perfect, with rhyming, learning the alphabet, and bright pictures. Happily, we love it too so are happy to read it. Brilliant book.

Researchers constantly find that reading to children is valuable in avariety of ways, not least of which are instilling a love of reading and improved reading skills. With better parent-child bonding from reading, your child will also be more emotionally secure and able to relate better to others. Intellectual performance will expand as well. Spending time together watching television fails as a substitute.
To help other parents apply this advice, as a parent of four I consulted an expert, our youngest child, and asked her to share with me her favorite books that were read to her as a young child. Yertle the Turtle was one of her picks.
This book has three stories in it, each with the same theme: Making Yourself More Self-Important Is the Wrong Direction!

This book was one of the five that I most enjoyed reading to our four children when they were young. Upon rereading the book, I bgan to realize why I enjoyed it so much . . . as well as why they did.
Children begin with quite vivid imaginations, and education (and the socializing process) quickly discourage their imaginations in favor of coloring between the lines (following the conformist rules). This wonderful book by Dr. Seuss extolls the creative process and liberates the child (and the parent) to use their imaginations. "THINK! You can think any THINK that you wish . . . Think of a race on a horse on a ball with a fish!" It's like getting a license to use your natural creativity.
The book encourages creativity in a variety of effective ways. As the above quote shows, juxtaposition (combined ... Read More:
