When I went through the book I could remember the movie played with Renee...Miss Potter. How magicals are drawings and how creative is the story, so easy to get into it! I really recommend this book for kids but also grown-ups. Nice present for Christmas eve I guess.
Regarding the way how tales are presented, this is quite genius as well as everything is merged into just only one book, a good quality about the cover. Nice choice.

I am assuming that the review below, copied from the `Comments' area of this item, was the original review that the other two reviews refer to - so well done to all who got it deleted from the system.
I couldn't agree more with these two reviews on this item - this is a blank baby book for parents to fill in, with photos and text, as their baby develops over those precious first 12 months.
What does puzzle me is the fact that it got a positive vote in the first place - unless the author is also guilty of voting for his own reviews which is quite possible given how his `helpful' votes whizz up - you only need to look back at the review pages to see how obtuse the subjects are and how suspicious the voting is, especially on items ... The Tale of Peter Rabbit was written in 1900 and has stood the test of time very well. Generations of children have loved the story of Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle-Duck among others and treasured the books of Beatrix Potter. It is up there among the greats of children's literature with Wind in the Willows, The Water Babies, Peter Pan, Treasure Island and many others.
In these days of computer games and electronic toys of one kind or another, books sadly are sometimes not as high on the list as they were a few years ago, perhaps that is why literacy in schools is not all that it could be. Personally as a child books were always my first love and Christmas would not have been the same without a Rupert annual.

I send the boxed centenary sets to all of the new arrivals we know about as a company and they have always been received with delight. Amazon are tremendous and I am very grateful for they way they dispatch them so swiftly. Excellent in every respect thank you.

Since Miss Potter starring Renee'Zellweger and Ewan McGregor, is one of my favorite films ever, this cd-book rendition of some of Beatrix Potters stories, is a fantastic treat!
Having all the main actors from the film actually reading some of the tales are nothing less than inspired!
Me and my baby (now close to 10 months)listen to this at night (after our own stories are read, and lights are out)as a nice back-setting to drift off to noddyland...
And sometimes in the day too...
It really is a lovely cd-and hopefully baby will be bi-lingual too...
I for one will give this as a christmas present to some friends with young children-these classic tales are a perfect example that children still enjoys a good story as contrast to the ... Read More:

I am surprised noone has reviewed this little tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle! Well, I guess if you like any Beatrix Potter's book you like them all. Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle is as delectable a creation as any other in the world of Peter Rabbit. Personally, I find this one one of the less good story. The tale is not the heaviest on the cautionary side among Beatrix Potter's work but does feature a very courteous young girl and an equally well-mannered and unassuming hedgehog. The plot is very very slim with scantly any unfolding. That couples to the lack of the child-like escapade of tales such as "Peter Rabbit" and "Tom Kitten" makes it somewhat less engaging. The illustration is also somewhat lower in standard, and the fact that one of the two main characters is ... Read More:

Written a year after Beatrix Potter came into ownership of Hill Top, her first farm in the Lake District, "Tom Kitten" introduces the Hill Top setting that would become a staple in subsequent books. Not much is shown of this idyllic world yet, but the first glimpse is an enticing one!
In my opinion, Tom Litten and his sisters are the most darling characters that Beatrix Potter ever drew. Of all her characters, none looks so adorable as the kittens - with "dear little fur coats of their own" - and so balanced in their anthromorphed and human-attired appearances. The story is reminiscent of "Peter Rabbit", with a "very naughty" child protagonist in his mischievous way but minus the danger posed by Mr. MacGregor. In spite of the resemblance, "Tom ...
