Tommee Tippee Sensor Monitor For Movement and Sound

My eldest daughter (now 29 months old) had very frequently delays in her breathing until 8 months old and less after that until 24 months old. I always had her sleep in her bed with the monitor on. The alarm would sound and I would go to her FAST, move her a little to start breathing again. She is still on the monitor when she sleeps! My second daughter (now 13 months old) has no problem at all but I have her on the monitor too because that way I know my children are safe and I can relax and get some sleep! Tommee Tippee Magic Mat Blue

I brought this mat as it was give a top award by a Mother & Baby organisation as a top product. I have been sorely disappointed as it hasn't worked at all. My main gripes are:

1. the packaging isn't clear but you actually have to spend an additional £5 buying the Tommy Tippee bowls as it doesn't work with any others.

2. The bowls don't stick that well & my daughter from 9 months when I started using the mat, simply pulled the (tommee Tippee) bowls from the suction with very little effort.

3. Even before she pulled the bowls off, she very quickly (first use) peeled the mat off the tray & could throw the whole thing overboard.

Worked ok (with a lot of static) and then after 4 weeks the parent unit wouldn't connect to the baby unit (on any of the channels).
