Fridge Phonics

My daughters are 3 and know most of the letters of the alphabet but not all. They are showing a real interest in learning to read and so I thought this might be an easy way of helping them to learn the rest of the letters. Although the picture shows the letters as upper case, when it arrived it had the lower case letters, which was actually what I would have preferred (the product advertised with lower case couldn't be delivered to Germany). I think this toy will help them learn their letters but I have a couple of reservations: 1) it does both the name and sound of the letters, which I think is a bit confusing, especially as some letters have 2 sounds. 2) It is sometimes a bit difficult to make out the sound properly so that some sounds ... Leapfrog Learn & Groove Activity Station

I got this as a present from my mother when my daughter was 5 months. She is now 6 months absolutely adores it, I can put her in it and do all my housework in the morning and it has been one of the best presents so far! I didnt actually think my daughter could use it straight away and I think to use from 4 months is far to soon! I would recommend this to everyone especially as it is educational, colourful and entertaining!

Leapfrog - Alphabet Pal

I bought this for my one year old niece and made the mistake of showing it to my husband. After 5 minutes, he decided that our 2 month old baby loved it and that Isabel couldn't possibly have it.
At 3 months old now, Bobby is facinated by it and is just starting to reach out for toys. I can't wait for him to get into it and I'm sure he will love playing with it for a good while.

N.B. The first thing my intelligent, mature husband tried was making it say a 'rude' word (e.g. pressing 's' and 'x' in quick succession). It giggles and says 'that tickles! He's now trying to find as many words as he can to tickle it!

fantastic product lets baby get used to rolling and learning about animals around the world. with 3 jolly songs sung when rolled. when a button is pressed its tells the baby/toddler about 2 animals from that continent,sung in a very nice manner. great to get them learning early. my son loves this and gets excited when I get the toy out his box for him !!!. the only snag is that it dose get a little irrertating after a while!! and I did have send mine back to leapfrog as it had a fault but a new one arrived a week later.

Although after about 10 minutes or so every day using this you will wish you never purchased it (I know a song that will get on your nerves, get on your nerves, get on your nerves.....)your baby will love the animal sounds, the repetition and the flashing lights and this will encourage them to start babbling and gurgling......which is just delightful!

I brought these for my niece and guess what? She absolutely loves them. She can spend a considerable amount of time banging them together, switching it on and off, watching the lights change colour and listening to them. When she is being a bit difficult , I give her the maracas and it does the trick.
I think that they are a great purchase.
