I've been using this monitor for 4 months now and am very happy with it.
It's easy to setup and use. The sound quality is good and it's loud enough to hear baby rolling over even when you have the TV on in the evening. Battery life is fine for me as the parent monitor can be carried round for about 8 hrs without needing to be re-charged (I only use it from 7pm until I go to bed so thats fine for me).
I have used the torch but only to check what time it is in the middle of the night when the baby wakes up crying ! Otherwise I am not sure I will ever use the extra features that the BT150 has over the BT100 but overall I'm very happy with it and would recommend BT baby monitors.
I was in two minds whether or not to buy this because of all the bad reviews about it being inaccurate, but I thought 'What the heck, I can always send it back'. I'm so glad I took the risk because this little gadget is great! It looks brilliant, giving a lovely soft glow to the nursery and the colours are a great visual indicator of the temperature which save you stumbling around in the dark trying to peer at a non-light up one. On the subject of the thermometer being inaccurate, I have to say it is definately not a problem with my egg as I have compared it to an extreamly accurate thermocouple thermometer and they always read no more than 0.1 of a degree apart. I don't know whether there has been a bad batch of these eggs going out to cause them to give the wrong ... Read More:
My son loves this light on when he goes to bed. It's not very bright as a night light which I think is ideal for that purpose. Just gives him a reassuring glow to let him go off to sleep on his own.

This is a great product, and we bought it for our first baby. She was only 5 days old when the alarm went off and when we picked her up she was breathing but shallowly, and she was on the cool side despite being well wrapped up. We took her straight to hospital and they kept her in for 3 days, lots of tests, and ultimately diagnosed her as fit and well, but there was no explanation apart from it was 'a newborn thing' and she may well have been fine anyway. The thing is we will never know what might have happened had we not been alerted by the monitor, so I thank my lucky stars each day that I bought it. We now know my daughter does have a slightly lower temperature than the average baby and in fact she set off the monitor other times as she is a shallow breather, ... Read More:
My daughter is just getting to the age (3 1/2) when she's afraid of the dark, and having seen these in the Guardian in an article about nightlights thought they sounded perfect.
The idea is really excellent - you can use the light as a torch (to have a peek around the room if you're feeling scared in the night, or need to go to the loo), or park it in its stand and it becomes a nightlight. You don't leave the the charger plugged in when in use, so you can have the light in any part of the room. The batteries seem to hold their charge really well after a charge during the day every few days.
The only thing I don't like about this light is that it's quite a harsh, unnatural light (the bulb is a white LED, I think) and it really is very bright, I would ... Read More:
we bought this for our 2-yr old who is very afraid of the dark despite already having one night light and various other torches that we gave her to scare the monsters away. it has worked brilliantly because it works not only as a night light on the stand, it becomes a torch so she can check in the cupboard or under the bed if the mood takes her. it has meant that daddy and i hardly ever find ourselves blearily expelling monsters in the middle of the night and get a decent night's kip. highly recommended and worth every single penny.

Fantastic mirror used for 10 mths with my first child without problems and that is with it being moved and taken in and out of different cars. I would highly recommend

I bought two as I suspected they would give different readings (as thermometers often due). I was wrong - they both give virtually the same readings although they did need the best part of an hour after "opening the box" to settle down. Definitely recommended and I am buying two more for different rooms in the house.

Well constructed and very easy to use. No tools required to set the gate up, and once you have set it up its easy to move around if you need to. We moved it twice to different rooms for our own purposes and had no difficult setting it up. We had to put it in a room with laminate flooring and a wooden trim stuck to the skirting board, although one of the edges overlapped this trim we were concerned it wouldn't hold, but our daughter tested this out to her full extent! :-) No amount of pushing or pulling on the gate would budge it. Gate locks itself (you just close the gate), and press the latch to open. operates very easily, even my mother in law (who is of advanced age) found it easy to operate.
A very good buy, good price, optional extensions available (separate ... Read More:
