Ok, buy it as a Christmas present for some kid if you really want to. But why not buy it for yourself? It's utterly brilliant! It's brings out the competitive side in a really fun way and is a great reflexes game that doesn't injure anyone.
Am I saying this because I beat everyone else with it? Probably.
But still you will love this, it's incredibly durable and there are different ways of playing it for those that learn or use their senses differently.
Now if only it had a mute button so you could play after the kids have gone to bed!
...oh dear, what a misery I must be. I really don't like Twister. I don't want to play contortionist games with my children, so my heart sinks whenever Twister comes out of the cupboard. Our spinning board is slightly warped so the arrow ALWAYS finishes on the same direction - LH Yellow - which is fine on the rare occasions when I get to be the spinner because I just lie and make up my own fiendish directions, but it sure makes for a dull game in the hands of a 5 year old spinner - "Left hand, yellow, AGAIN, mum", she cries as my back spasms worsen and I sob softly, gazing at my rioja and "Heat!" sitting temptingly by the sofa. I'm sure so many others find this brilliant fun, but I can always find something funnier to do.
This is a really good colouring book, lots of simple pictures to colour in. However this book is not gigantic in size, I think they mean gigantic in the number of pages. Its a normal A4 size book. But well worth the money.
One of the oldest games still on the market, and has been around for many years. It's a simple, but exciting family game based on pure luck.
Each Player slots one of their swords into the barrel that contains 'Jolly Roger' the Pirate. If you're unlucky, you've chosen the wrong slot, and 'yikes' up pops 'Jolly Roger' - you lose!
This game is great because it's a randomly-chosen slot that's selected by the clever mechanism on every single game, and so nobody can cheat or predict who will win and who will lose! An amazingly simple idea, but it's what makes this game work and so popular.
The components are attractive and brightly coloured, and the barrel itself is extremely robust.

My 2yo daughter was bought one of these as an early Xmas present.
I just don't get the incredible overwhelmingly-positive reviews that this thing has received. I mean, I know elmo is somewhat more ingrained in to US culture than that in the UK but overall, the toy is a) expensive and b) of limited appeal. Specifically it's hard to understand what he's saying sometimes, there are a limited number of actions/speec programs and apart from pressing his stomach/foot/nose/back etc, I can't see how this is going to last beyond a few days.
I'm not into being the arbiter of my child's toys - but at £50+ I am seriously considering selling this and getting something more worthwhile (daughter hasn't yet got to play with in in earnest - yes, ... Read More:
A game that I bought after reading the reviews and have not been disappointed. It is great fun for the child and the adult and teaches at the same time. Fully recommended.
I have got 2 of these for my 2year old, one at grandma's and one at mine.
Such a good idea. No other mess. The pens fill with water. My daughter first got hers aged 1... and no, that wasn't too early! She has loved it ever since.
They aren't perfect, but what is? the mats are susceptible to dirt, as are the pens. I read a couple of review from mums who didn't like them as their children threw juice over them or got the pens dirty, but seriously, keep other liquids away from your children whilst they are being played with, and the pens away when they aren't being used, and whats the problem?
These are with no doubt one of the best toys my daughter has ever had and I already have one in my basket as a Christmas present ... Read More:
Don't bother buying this item! I just did, and, instead of 24 crayons in a nice round container as pictured, I received (very late) three cardboard packets of crayons. Not a nice present for a two-year-old.

I brought this for my son last Christmas (he was 3 at the time)and he's played with it twice. There aren't enough butterflies, so you spend your time picking them up to put them back in. They all come out at once, so the game is over quite quickly. They are hard to catch for a little one and as soon as the batteries are on the wane, the butterflies don't fly up the sprout! We've recently sold ours at the car boot sale
