Sennheiser CX 500 - High Quality Noise Isolating Ear-Canal Headphones With Volume Control - Blackfrom: Sennheiser June 17, 2008 Personally I find the sound quality of the CX500s very good and they are comfortable headphones with a useful range of accessories. The noise isolation is reasonable for the price, though one byproduct of this is very noticeable "cable rub" noise. This may seem an unusual complaint (though I've seen it mentioned in a number of other reviews) but the packaging really is appalling. You have to work hard not to slice yourself and the headphones to pieces whilst hacking your way in. I am guessing it is designed this way to make them difficult to return to shops once opened, but it is both a waste of plastic and a real annoyance. |
