. My 1st Scalextric Setfrom: Scalextric 7 months ago I bought this Scalextric for my granddaughters, 4 yrs and 6 yrs old, to play with when they visit. It has been a great success. Visiting 6 to 10 year olds also loved it. None of the children have problems putting the cars on the track themselves, partly due to the magnets that help hold the cars on the track. The cars go at incredible speeds (10 laps in 12 seconds). At full throttle they will fly off, but that is all part of the skill and fun - keeping them on the track so you win! My cars were not damaged when they came off but a couple of cushions strategically placed would make sure there was no damage. I have had no problems with cars being stopped by the track.
