My first Netgear 834G died after just two years - doesn't seem very long compared with other IT equipment I have. Netgear sent a free replacement, good. To set this up took three days of attempts to get it working (reflecting difficulties with setting up my original 834). In the end, I spent almost three hours on the phone with two different Netgear engineers - one from the sub-continent and difficult to understand, and one from LA, very helpful and knowledgable, who took a further 40 mins to fix the set up problem.
The installation and set up material is entirely inadequate and contradictory, and assumes professional understanding of procedures and acronyms. It doesn't suggest using a professional to install it, which I would recommend. ... Read More:
