- Shigsy and Ninty do it again Mario Kart back on form
I was annoyed with the lame atempt that was mario kart 64 it just didnt feel or play right so i just went and played the original on the classic SNES.But this game did somthing different the clever and mighty Nintendo led by Miyamoto decided to go back to the drawing board and start again, because this game is in a genre of its own it doesnt seem like its part of the mario kart series but more of hybrid going out on its own setting a new standard of MK games to come.
Loads of new drivers,new special weapons for each character,choose the kart you want(if you can still call it a kart i mean look at bowsers beast its more like a monster truck),plenty of unlockables ranging from extra characters too extra "karts", and the best thing two characters in a "kart" at a time one drives one uses items,this is where the multiplayer shines through team with a mate one drives one uses items if you get board just swap with a simple tap on the Z button. And theres loads more multiplayer games aswell which are great if your having party but not so if on your own.
Highly recommended but can be a bit boring if playing on your own you realy need two players hence why iv only given it four stars.

The expectations for this game were it was supposed to be one of the greatest racing games for the gamecube.Fair enough the game has a great multiplayer facility , but the amount of things you could do on a one player would facinate a monkey for about an hour! The one player option has no depth it is not hard at all. I now only play this game when my mates are around to play on the multiplayer because it is so boring to play on my own.SO IF YOU ARE BUYING THIS GAME MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT A LONER BECAUSE IF YOU ARE YOU WILL PLAY THIS GAME FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS AT THE MOST.

What can I say? Fun. Colourful. Fast. A treat for both the eyes and the mind. The kids will love this one (ours do), and so will the adults. After hours playing online FPS games with the XBox we thought we would try another Nintendo game, and we aren't regretting it for one minute. After Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker this has to be my most played GC game.
Like I said, "dash" off and buy this one. Get some friends round and play split-screen karting with fun characters and great locations. Take a break from saving or destroying the world!

This game is brill! Just what the gamecube needed.
There's alot to do, race in the grand prix, beat you best times, battle against friends, and lots of secrets characters and karts to unlock.
I'd suggest getting more than one controller for this game; because when you have 2 or more, you can have two of you on one kart working together, or you can race/battle against one another with your favourite nintendo characters. The fun is endless.
Its like the N64 version, but has been improved in almost every area making a great game.
The only slight hitch is that they have taken the jump feature from the 64 version out of this game, but its been made up for with lots of fantastic features.
Get this game now!

In this ultra cool superb game you can brum around in a crazy car and use 2 characters at once, each set of characters has their own special item. It is much fun and there are many hidden cars & new characters to unlock!!!!! There is loads of suspense, i.e. you're in 2nd place...it's the final lap.... nearing the goal... and someone fires a super flyin' blue shell, it hits the player in 1st with a 'BOOM!!!!!!'..... and you win!!!!!! If you don't find this game at least extermely fun & exiting you need to go to a loony hospital.
