Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Another Lara Classic!
Normally when you purchase a sequel, you end up with something inferior or so different that it doesn't 'feel' like the game you know and love.

Well, this game does something strange...it's very different, but GOOD different! It's more realistic than the first one (well, barring the odd yeti etc.), but just as gripping and playable.

There are more human enemies in this, and you have to really look to find the secrets, but that makes it more fun! Some of the puzzles seem too hard at first, but then you just get a greater sense of achievement when you work them out!

Please don't use a walkthrough the first time around...it's so much better to figure everything out yourself!

I always tend to panic a bit when Lara's under water, which didn't bode well for me, as a lot of this game is situated in and around water, but I even enjoyed those levels!

To me, the hardest part of this game was actually the first level! You're in for a shock when you go after at least 1 of the secrets, so be prepared!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best so far! For me.
After working my way (very slowly) through Tomb Raider 1 I thought I was ready for this-I was wrong! The difference is amazing. No easy one way only levels here-you have to REALLY keep your eyes open, In particular the Tibeten Foothills level seems impossible, and it is-until you find the very well hidden way(s) out. I'm not all the way through this yet, but it is the most enjoyable (and brain taxing) game I have ever played, with more problems for Lara than you would ever have thought possible.
Buy this and you'll be kept engrossed for ages. (and I'm far from being a computer-based teenage player (I have grandchildren of that age!)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Another one of the greatest games ever created
After the remote, rocky expanses of its predecessor, most of Tomb Raider II's locales had a more worldly, recognisable feel - from the Great Wall of China to Venice, from an offshore rig to a wrecked ship at the bottom of the ocean. Tomb Raider II also marked the debut of Lara's ability to climb certain surfaces, while the addition of rope slides presented the opportunity for a few vertiginous descents from particularly high points. An improved engine also facilitated better lighting effects, thus allowing Lara to wield flares to illuminate dingy rooms.

The most significant addition Tomb Raider II made to the series, however, was the intorduction of certain vehicles. In the Venice section, a speedboat was a central aspect of the first level. With a few enjoyable set-pieces - in particular, a death defying leap while under fire from assailants - the sppedboat was a lot of fun to control. Later, in the Tibetian Foothills, Lara could drive a snowmobile. As with the speedboat, this allowed hair-raising stunts to be performed. It also proved handy for disposing of aggressors foolish enough to wander too close.

While the original Tomb Raider evoked a marvellous sense of isolation, with occasional combat encounters to disturb it (notably annoying Larson), Tomb Raider II focused more upon regular battles with assorted hencemen. Some players preferred the first style, others the latter - it's an issue that really polarises players' opinions. Regardless, Tomb Raider II was a worthy sequel.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Tomb Raider 2
Tomb Raider 2 is a brilliant game. Compelling gameplay, great graphics (for 1997) and an involving plot all feature in Laras second outing. The only down points are that there is not much new gameplay. You've seen it all before on Tomb Raider 1. But don't let that put you off because if you liked Tomb Raider 1 you will love this.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - it cant get any better can it
Well what can i say about TR2 it is totaly fantastic much better than TR1 I would reccomend it any one who likes to solve puzzles. It can sometimes get borring but that is because yo can get stuck but it doesnt take long to sort the problems out as long as you look at every nook and crany your sure to finish it with 100% at the end which took me two try's.
