Editorial Review:
Product Description: PES 2008 features a brand new intelligence system, called Teamvision, that adapts and reacts to players own gameplay styles to ensure that the computer controlled opponents are always challenging and forcing the player to think and chance their style of play to avoid being out-thought by the game. It will learn counter attacks that target your weaknesses and look to exploit any repetitive tactics players use. Defenders react better to danger, closing down the ball and charging at shots and the goalkeepers will hold shots that are closer to them as well. Teammates will make more intelligent runs into space and the close control has been sharpened to ensure quick and fluid passing and speedy attacks can be built.

ok if your a great at footie games get it the difference between pes08 and fifa 08 is that with pes you can score more realistic goals wonder goals when its raining its good to shoot outside the box because the goalie thumbells when the ball is wet while fifa you score the same goals pes is a good buy

I got this game with my spending money because I was fed up off playing with retired players on Pro evoloution soccer 3 (thats old). I was expecting it 2 be da same but u know what it has a huge difference such as it shows the referee u choose which ball you want to play with and what I wanted da most, it had all da knew players. DA thing which I like
about the game is that the awsome players such as Christiano Ronaldo does tricks on his own when other players come to tackle him. BUt da thing is not all the players look da same as on real football, tores has short hair, Beckham looks toooooooootally different.
Overall buy it!

This game is not bad, just not a lot a fun to play. I'm sure it's a very faithful football sim, but only if you've learned eveything you know about football from Chelsea a couple of years ago and the old Arsenal.
I'd advise to stick to Pro-Evo 6 or if you have a Wii, go for Wii Pro-Evo '08. It re-introduces things like fun and a feeling of control to the series.
All in all, solid but dull.

I'm quite disappointed of this version of Pro Evo, I thought this will have better graphics and game play, but I was totally let down. Pro Evo 8's game play is, more or less, the same as Pro Evo 6. This game is only worth buying if you want updated team members for club, country, etc. That's about it. The graphics hasn't been improved at all.
I'm not too bothered with the new sets of menus and music that everyone is getting annoyed of. I guess the reason why this game is so expensive at the moment is because of the new graphical menus they have introduced to game, rather than improving the the game play and the actual graphics of the game.

I have been a fan of pro evo since PRO EVO 1 and i'm sorry but all those so-called football gamers who praise this game must be either blind or had enough of FIFA. I would much rather play FIFA than this garbage!
There are more international teams and crowd chants are more responsive....but thats about it!
The overall interface of the game is exactly the same as PES 5 and 6, they could have designed it a bit differently rather than just changing the colour to a dull blue.
The menu music is incredibly ANNOYING that i have decided to mute the sound on my tv. What is the point in changing the music when there are more important aspects to ammend such as i dunno....THE WHOLE GAME!
