 Rating:  - Awesome Rich Sound and easy on the eyeHaving recently being ripped off in the US with extremely poor sounding mini speakers for around £70 I was cautious of repeating the event with this US branded speaker. The unit I bought was sold as sub standard, possibly with small marks and damaged box. In fact it was like new all round with only slight "strap" marks on the box. The benefit was the sub £70 price! Thank You Amazon....! Out of the box the unit is neat and single piece. It comes with a laptop style power adaptor and mains plug so that take up a bit of desk space too. Overall the iGroove looks compact and neat on the top of the kitchen counter or desk space, so long as you can hide the power brick somewhere. There is an in built carry ... OK the remote is basic but what the hell it does not effect the sound quality. Well built. Rating: - Klipsch i groove is great!!!I got a Klipsch i groove for my birthday last year, and was blown away by the sound quality for it's size. The base comes out of no where!! And the sound is very nicely balanced and can fill any room evenly. I compared it to the Bose ipod dock and I think that Klipsch completely blew them out of the water. The Bose system just doesn't deliver the base that the I groove does. I also think that for the money it's excellent value. It is also realy simple to opperate, just simply plug in and play. The only down side to the i groove is the controls which only allows you to skip though tracks and not much else. It would be nice if they made a set of controls where you can fully control you i pod from the other side of the room. I my oppinion ... Read More: Rating:  - The IGroove is smokingBought this device from Amazon, great sound, only problem after a year that the on off button disappeared inside the unit, so we had to use the remote. Today it decided to go up in smoke, a small fire started between the Igroove contacts and the Ipod destroying both units, unfortunately this happened three months out of warranty, the Ipod was 8 months old. Rating:  - Great sound, shame about the remote...I bought this product after reading the reviews on this site for the black version (I have a silver iPod and wanted them to go together). It's easy to use, reasonably portable - we took it on holiday with us in the box it came in - and sounds fantastic. Friends have a Bose SoundDock and this is definitely comparable. However, as other reviewers have said, the remote control is next to useless. As far as I can tell, the one I received is only good for turning the volume up and down and then only if you're standing right in front of the machine, in which case, you might as well just push the buttons on the front of the unit.
