Having enjoyed Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator - World War II Europe Series, it was only natural that I would want to try out Combat Flight Simulator 2 - Pacific Theater. Combat Flight Simulator is, after all, one heck of a World War II buff's dream games, so I figured its Pacific counterpart would be as good.
I have to admit that I am not the best of pilots. I still fly at the most basic of realism levels in Combat Flight Simulator (Europe), and that is enough of a challenge. Facing off German bombers and fighters with Rookie-level artificial intelligence is tough, and I still am not skilled enough to set my realism settings (flight models, ammo loads, enemy skill levels, and sometimes invincibility levels) to 100%

Unreal. The best game I've ever played. All the expansions in one box. As well, it doesn't have the rather expensive system requirements of the new Civ IV. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Civ IV is amazing - but I'm not in the market for a new PC. This is the game for those of us that don't have a gamer's PC.
This is a great game to pick up for yourself or for a gift for someone else - at 30 bucks, how can you lose?

This is a good game and by far the best in the series. The story line is challenging but not impossible. The puzzles are a nice added feature not present in the first two games. I enjoyed the extras given when you complete each case. My only complaint is that there are only 5 cases and I didn't want the game to finish.

This is a great addition to Sims2, and I would recommend it if you are looking for some new things to do. Having the university adds a lot of dimention to the game, and the new jobs and items are really cool. New ways to interact with other sims are good too, as someone else mentioned.
I did however, have a few problems once this game was installed. 1. With the toy bear you can buy (available in Sims2), one of my characters was holding it when suddenly his action to talk to another sim with it was cancelled. Usually they will put the bear down. This guy somehow got it lodged in his abdomen, and let me tell you it is not a pretty sight. There is no way to get it out!
2. When the game was installed, some visiting characters became stuck ... Read More:

When the original game is a groundbreaking masterpiece, its sequel rarely lives up to the unavoidable hype. There are notable exceptions of course (BALDUR's GATE II and MAX PAYNE II spring to mind). However, NEVER had I been so DISAPPOINTED with a sequel more than DUNGEON SIEGE II!
Following the innovative and brilliant original DS, the anticipation was so great that minor flaws would be forgiven. With DS2, though, it was one big blunder after another.
Contrary to the original DS (for which one had to physically tear himself from the computer screen) this one is a boring chore. Running back and forth to the base camp to barter equipement is a tedious procedure with all the fun sucked out of it. Moreover, no matter how much you improve your character ... Read More:

I remember watching the trailer for the first NWN and actually holding my breath. I had IMMENSELY enjoyed BALDUR's GATE I & II and all their expansions, a well as the ICEWIND DALE series. I had been enchanted by the best cRPG ever, PLANESCAPE TORMENT. Now the same game developers were delivering a 3D, cinematic version that would make total immersion inescapable! Right? Wrong, oh boy, so WRONG!
Measly henchmen replacing our deliciously diversive company, nauseating camera movement, infantile designed objects, slow battle movements, low polygon characters and bland storyline. Now, NWN had its virtues, no doubt. It was such an original approach that games like WOW and OBLIVION borrowed heavily from its innovative concept of a Third-Person RPG. Nevertheless, ... Read More:
