Like just about every other children's game (think JumpStart) this game is made in Macromedia's Director. And also, like just about every other children's game, it is low-budget, low-talent and low-resolution. The game forces itself into 800x600x16-bit @ 60Hz and after you exit the game, guess what? You're still in 800x600x16-bit @ 60Hz. Because the programming talent is nonexistent the game is rigidly linear, forcing you to watch the mind-numbing instructions before EVERY game no matter how many times you've played it previously. And, in what seems to be a trend among children's games, it requires Administrator privileges to not only install, but also RUN the game! The game is fun, if you have a few dozen friends already ingame to watch over you. While the game protects players until level 20, you don't become viable in any of the serious combat situations until level 50. With experience, you can hit level 50 in a week; however, if you just start the game, it could take you close to a solid month.

This is not a light gaming experience at all. If you're looking for an MMOG to try out just for the sake of trying it out, I suggest City of Heroes or Dark Age of Camelot. Shadowbane is "advanced" MMOG gaming. It requires you like hunting and being hunted by other people, at all times and in all places, and being comfortable ending the playsession further behind than where you started.

I thought this was a fun game, but it definitely wasn't perfect. The graphics were weird, but kind of cool. It is annoying how you can't skip through when people are talking, and how Peeves looks like a clown. But the worst part of the game is the Quidditch. It take forever to win! Other then those little defects, the game is fun to play, even if there wasn't really all that much to it.

I basically play euchre when my phone line is tied up. Otherwise I play on Yahoo!

Overall, Hoyle isn't too bad, but I find that even on the "advanced" setting, your partner is too timid, mostly by failing to lead trump on your call or order. However, they often order up from first with 2 bowers and no support, when they could have had 3 or 4 trump by passing for "next".

Also, 1st chair never donates.

Unrealistic loners, the computer often takes trick 1 with trump or off Ace, and properly leads the Right, but then leads offsuit to give the opps a chance to stop the loner. Even when holding JJ9, AK.

I've played Livin' Large for a week now. Remember that review I gave on the first Sims game? I said that I didn't think it was addicting. Yeah right! It's 5:25am, and I haven't gone to bed 'cause I was playin' "Livin' Large." I can't wait to install House Party! :)

In the first Sims game, you got 10 lots. In this game, you get 40 extra lots! That's 50 in total! Lots are places you buy to put houses on, in case you haven't figured that out alreay. I'm sharing this game with my brother, so we would get 25 lots each. I already used up around 8 of them. My brother's only used 2.

The Sims Livin' Large comes with 5 new careers (Slacker, Journalist, Paranormal, Hacker, and Musician), more building styles, 125 new items, and new characters. ... Read More:
