This game is almost perfect! it definetly has the quality of a FF game only even better than certain FF's in my opinion. An Rpg with a great storyline and overall gameplay!! It leaves you wanting more. as soon as i had finished it i played it right away because it was just to good!

While I will not be doing a review on this game, I'd thought I'd give ps3 owners a heads up about some of the minor problems they will encounter when playing ff8 (the PS3 im using is a 60GB model)

Disc 1- Only Problem is the battle screen instead of just being white it is mostly black with just a bit of white

Disc 2-Same as disc one, but get a little better near the middle of the disc, and the start of missile base is a little wacky (the vehicle textures get mixed in with the wall textures on the outside, but inside is fine.

Disc 3 black battle screen only appears on the world map everywhere else is normal (possible little black spots here and there) But once you get to the space ship near the middle of the ... Read More:

If you don't have either FF1 or FF2, now is your chance to get them, and both on the same disc. It's more of a collectors item, because you might think it's boring and think the graphics are awful, but remember that these games were made more than ten years ago. However, if you like the Pokemon games, you might not find a problem with Origins, cause they're basically the same. These games are really a challenge.

I'm still putting five stars for these games even though I never played them completely. They are well liked and my personal preferences should not affect the total rating.

This review is more of a warning to those who, just like me, never had a playstation 1 but only playstation 2 or 3. If you tried Final Fantasy 10 or more recent ones and thought 'Why not try the older ones?', please, do your homework first and check websites of the earlier games to know what you are buying. I read the reviews and bought it. This was not my cup of tea. I simply cannot stand the two dimentional graphics. It is nothing like the new games. No offence to everyone who likes it, but it is not to everyones taste.

Silent Hill

just went back to dust off my copy of silent hill that i beat many moons ago... playing it now at first i was taken aback at how chunky the graphics were. this wasn't how i remembered it. the silent hill i remembered was vivid, disturbing, and insomnia inducing. it was a town i went to visit but wouldn't like to stay in.

now i noticed the repeating textures and areas. the pixelated gradients in the shading. and of course the famous annoying controlls that had me cursing at the damn pink pteridactyl swooping onto my head again.

but by the time i got to the school i'd assimilated myself, i was back in silent hill. now i'll probably stay till the end of the game.

Metal Gear Solid Greatest Hits

Metal Gear Solid is awsome, the graphics are alright and the story is one of a kind. There is no guy better than Solid Snake, he is a true bad a** you will find that out if you play this game. He will take on eneything from a tank to a helicopter to metal gear rex, this man is the best of the best (trust me). You will love this game, it has everything you need such as hot deadly girls and lots of sneaking around (it doesn't get better than that). I recomend it to every fan of stealth games and to fans of the series.

Many are going to find this review almost sacreligious, but I found FF7 incredibly boring. I like a strong storyline and relatable characters. FF7 had a shaky and inconsistent storyline to begin with, made even weaker by the game's constant veering off onto side stories, some of which had no bearing on the main story or to each other. To me it felt like a bunch of random small games strung together to make one long game, not like a cohesive story that was woven together well. The characters didn't develop to the point that I felt like I knew them or wanted to know them, in fact I found myself unable to care what happened to any of them.
