Just got it. Wonderful simulator, it goes without saying. But My Pentium 4, 1.7 is not ready for this. If you buy it first you have to buy the most modern computer in the world ... otherwise it's better to use FS 2004. I think I'll go back to FS 2004 till I can afford to upgrade my comp or get new one. So far it's slide show.

I have enjoyed the original version (1998) of the Combat Flight Simulator for years, and hoped that the Simulator 3 would be an improved version in all respects. Unfortunately it is a totally new game which seems like Microsoft never got around to properly finishing or debugging. The game is not user-friendly, with confusing and superfluous commands most people would never use. Aircraft and location selection seems to be available only under the Quick Combat tab and is not readily transferred to the other action options. The force feedback does not work, at least not with my joystick Cyborg 3D Rumble Force(any suggestions?. Enemy and friendly aircraft are rarely seen and the target acquisition system seems random and ineffective. On the other ... Read More:

It's fun to build houses in the game and run The Sims' lives. But other than that it's a pretty dull game. But it's still good to buy in order to see the young Sims go off to University!

Having enjoyed Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator - World War II Europe Series, it was only natural that I would want to try out Combat Flight Simulator 2 - Pacific Theater. Combat Flight Simulator is, after all, one heck of a World War II buff's dream games, so I figured its Pacific counterpart would be as good.
I have to admit that I am not the best of pilots. I still fly at the most basic of realism levels in Combat Flight Simulator (Europe), and that is enough of a challenge. Facing off German bombers and fighters with Rookie-level artificial intelligence is tough, and I still am not skilled enough to set my realism settings (flight models, ammo loads, enemy skill levels, and sometimes invincibility levels) to 100%

During these months of boycotting most new PC games releases (for harboring vicious DRM schemes and Limited installations), I found the time to replay a number of older games that truly are much better in many ways. Most importantly, innovation.
THE MOVIES is a cross-genre hybrid, beautifully combining a SIMS game with a business-RTS one and a highly creative movie suit. Not only do you get to step into the shoes of a Hollywood mogul, but you get a shot in "realizing" that film you always had in you.
The game starts with the design and building of your Studio (using up the allocated funds), complete with Script stables, Sound stages, Production offices and (ahemm...) casting-couches? (no...strangely THAT part of Hollywood was not included). ... Read More:
This is a great game. If you love flying (like me) you'd be out of your mind not to get it! The detail level is amazing but it has a medium high frame rate if your PC is slow. So if you like flying just go back to the main page and buy it. You should get it used though because I find that it works better once you've used it for a little while.
