I just cant stop playing since it working...(yes the recommended system requirements is a fake...)
The combat system is soooo nice, graphic are really really great and greatly optimized.
Buy it...NOW
If you experience a black screen, put the shadow to off or only characters shadow.

I've played Age of Conan since it's debut & I still find this game highly addictive. Although Age of Conan still needs more content (especially end game content), I've never played a game that's more immersive, intense and fun.
The system requirements for AOC are rather demanding,but if you can play AOC with its video settings at or near max, you're in for a wild ride.
Funcom, the developers of AOC, released a patch earlier this week (09/17/2008) that introduced the more PVP leveling and rules,tho I could care less about PVP,more for kids IMO.
I've tried Warhammer Online, but after playing Age of Conan, there's no way I could play a game like WAR. AOC seems light years ahead of WAR in terms of its combat, environments, characters and immersion.
Age of Conan is both a work of art and feat of engineering. Thrilling game. as a long time Conan/Red Sonja fan it has even rejuvenated my love of the graphic novel's,Savage sword of Conan etc. just love it.

Age of Conan graphics are among the most beautiful I saw in the last few years.
Unfortunately, the game was released at least six months too early. It was full of bugs, broken quests, display problems, server lags, etc. One of the most annoying problems is that the game crashes now and then when you're changing zone or ressurecting - while your party is wiped out. It takes ages to restart the game, and even longer if check the status of the files, which is recommended after a crash.
After more than three months of weekly updates, Age of Conan is still in beta mode at best, and Funcom doesn't seem in a hurry to fix that.
Finally, the game needs a monster machine to run properly. Mine is slightly better than the recommended, and it's still not enough. So unless you have a very good computer (or are willing to spend money to upgrade it), be prepared to wait sometimes and get low frames by second rates.
Rating: - Not bad at all.
The game is not bad, I got it the day it came out and have had it since. The previous review degrades it for having a monthly fee, anyone familiar with the mmo genre know that monthly fees come with the territory. If you want a decent mmo that isn't WoW, this game is worth a try.

This PC Conan game can only be played for 30 days then it stops working unless you pay by the month. I sent it back!!
